Frequently mentioned in reviews: Top-rated.online cuts through the clutter, highlighting only the reviews that are most helpful, earn the most likes, or come from the most active contributors. Finally Kinnegar IPA in a bar in Glenties area. service, nice selection of beers. Quite a spacious place and close to the beach Drink is reasonably priced, the food if amazing and a wee place to go play pool and just chill with a nice atmosphere. Pub with amazing atmosphere. The locals are friendly people. Accommodation over the bar was clean, comfortable and had views. Very affordable rates. Conveniently located right next to Portnoo Beach. Amazing scenery from our room. We had a time and will be back. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Had a weekend here, staying just above the pub. Rooms were perfectly adequate, well maintained and clean, if a little on the small side. However we were well looked after by the bar staff / owners and the food in the attached café is really good and not too pricy. Guinness in the pub is top notch and the views / beaches in the area are simply outstanding. Staying above the bar can be noisy, but that kind of comes with the territory, it didn't annoy us as we were usually in the bar - but earplugs may be advised if you're adverse to pub noise as punters leave etc. Really, really enjoyed the stay. Angela's and next door serve the best and it is so fresh - the are too. Arrived up on Friday night to enjoy some drinks and craic. Band came on and soon found out it was a Republican RA band. Not our experience of anywhere else in Donegal and sadly this pub has definitely gone down hill since it changed hands. Eugene and Donna look after our cycling groups for food and accommodation and give us a welcome every time. Lovely home cooked food, a warm Irish welcome and attentive, caring staff. It's a thumbs up from us :) Thanks guys Visited the cafe for takeout in August 2023. Ordered & plus a dip which cost €18.50. Waited 40 minutes from ordering. They forgot to add the dip. That I can forgive, but unfortunately the food was disgusting. The was grossly over-fried to the point where it only tasted of grease and was hard as rock. The had pretty much dissolved due to being so over-fried. The (fries) were fine, if a little cold. In all, this was the worst & I have ever been served in Ireland. And probably the most expensive. Best avoided. Welcoming pub, happy staff, pints of Coors and Guinness. Clean and cosy accommodation we stayed 2 nights. No breakfast included, just a chipper attached next door for and etc. In afternoon. Brilliant welcome for people with dogs. Clean bar, clean bathrooms. Pool table and dart board and tvs showing all major sports. We were there for the All Ireland final weekend. 3 min walk to the beach and to a beach side coffee dock. 20min drive to a petrol station. 10min walk to local Mace. ATM machine outside premises. Friendly husky dog outside the pub. Have been coming up to Narin for over 23 years and used to love going to Annora’s for some food, drinks and crack as it always had a brilliant atmosphere. Up again now in 2024 since the new owners have taken over and the place no longer does food, the atmosphere is terrible, no music or anything. The back garden area used to be lovely, but is now all overgrown, benches are rotting away, the walls could do with a paint, the ground could do with a brush. The toilets were terrible with mould growing on the walls. Just generally disappointed in it all really and I won’t going back. I can see now why Pat Boyle’s cafe is busier than what the pub is. So sad this place has gone down hill under the new management.. Last time we ate here the food was bad but now the cafe is closed despite the sign at the door for bar food. The place is now needing cleaned and if you rent a room don’t expect breakfast. Positive reviews from Holohan or Holo are probably owner’s family.
