This is a lovely and cosy restaurant, and a fantastic open fire 🔥, service is great and very attentive staff . Food is lovely . I would go just to sit next to the fire. Great desserts and vegetarian choices as well Came here with my friends for food and a few drinks. The inside was a bit dull and grim but we were lucky the sun was shining and we got to sit outside! The food was absolutely delicious. I had an aubergine and halloumi burger and my god it was so good. The chips were also banging. The desserts were tasty too. There’s also a sheltered outdoor seating area which was really cool and covered in plants. Furthermore, what really made this experience so good was our waitress. Her name was Sarah. She was genuinely the nicest waitress I’ve ever met. She was very chatty and was also up for a laugh! Really enjoyed the overall vibe. Great place to eat. Menu was good. Service and staff were excellent This place is a magical little bar and restaurant. Lots of parking space. Indoor and outdoor dining. Approx 10 mins walk from centre of Portumna past the bridge over the beautiful river Shannon. Fast and friendly service. Great place for a group but just as cosy and romantic atmosphere for a dinner date. Great pub food with a twist. (P.s ... lovely homemade soup.) Lovely food, good plain traditional dinners, done well. Very reasonably priced. Great spot very accessible no steps to enter and if you are on the upper level there is a door round the side. Nice choice a d daily specials the baked cheesecake was awesome. Called in here to watch the England game and have a bite to eat.. a lovely little spot.. the staff were very welcoming and friendly. I had the steak burger and it was delicious 😋 I would definitely recommend the Ferry Inn 🙂 Food always very good. Staff and the lady owner is always attentive and friendly.
