Great pub , right next to Lough Derg great to go with colleagues and friends , the pub is nearly 200 years old and celebrates its 200th anniversary in 2026 15/6/25: A busy, busy place on a sunny weekend. Despite the place being full to the brim, service was prompt and friendly. We were fortunate to find a table outside owing to the good weather. A tasty fish and chips with the usual trimmings plus a curry sauce for one meal the other being breaded Brie with said and chips. Not a cheap meal but that seems to be the situation anywhere since Covid 19 struct. Some people I understood were pre-booking a table to ensure a place. A very good country bar/restaurant. Service and food was excellent. Well worth detouring to visit here. Absolutely lovely. Had a lovely evening in there last Night. Was greeted by two very jovial men, Ruairi and Ciarán . The pints were good and bloody well priced compared to what you get in Dublin. Also thought the guinness was on par with some of the best pubs around. All in all , very happy and would recommend to anyone 😊 Wonderful place with great portions, food is fresh and tasty and one of the best coffee spots ever. Battered cod and chips, vegetarian nachos, white chocolate mocha and cappuccino which came with oat milk option as well. Outdoor seating arrangements and they sanitize after each customer. We didn't have to pre-book. It was a beautiful day as well to stop over the pier. Have been wanting to try this pub food for a while and we got there and not at all disappointed. We went early on a Thursday afternoon, so the pub was quite. Nicely set out seating area and quite big. We ordered our food, I had checked the menu online but when we got there it differed slightly. I was looking forward to the beef and Guinness pie, but this was now a stew! Disappointed by this change but ordered it anyway. So glad I did, it was delicious. Came with mash, which was creamy and devine. My husband ordered the duck leg which looked and tasted amazing. We didn't think we would have room for dessert but when we saw the menu, we had to give it a go! Absolutely amazing. The food was presented like a top notch restaurant. Will definitely return and will be recommending. We had such a great time at Paddy’s in Terryglass. The beef bulgogi was absolutely unreal; full of flavour and cooked just right. The prawn curry was just as good, really tasty with just the right amount of heat. We ordered 2 kids’ burgers expecting something small, but it was basically a full-sized one. No complaints though, it went down a treat. The Guinness was poured properly too, which you don’t always get, so that was a nice touch. What really made the visit though was the staff. Every single one of them was warm, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. You just felt properly looked after from the moment you walked in. We’ll definitely be back We go here every year - a big group of 3 families, 3 generations and the service we enjoy is amazing. Large groups are not always easy or welcome in a small local pub, but the team at Paddy's Bar are fantastic. The atmosphere is great, locals are very welcoming and the food is delicious. Highly Recommend!
