Yes, there’s a distinct smell of sulfur – like boiled eggs left out too long – but that’s part of the charm. Your skin will thank you afterwards. The is quite and can get crowded quickly, so come early in the morning or later in the evening. Avoid weekends if you’re after some peace and quiet. The parking up top is well-organized, and the staff were surprisingly friendly and helpful. Just a heads-up: there’s little to no shade and no real spots to stash your things. Bring water, sun protection, and maybe a towel or mat to sit on. All in all, a unique swim spot that’s perfect for both relaxation and great vacation photos. There’s some limited street parking, as well as a car park available at €5 for 2 hours or €7 for the day. The itself is quite small, with lots of rocks and pebbles, more suited for a quick swim than a full day of lounging. It can get overcrowded, with little to no space to lie down and relax. There’s a slight sulphur smell in the water, similar to rotten eggs, but it’s not too strong. Despite that, we really enjoyed our visit and would recommend stopping by. Steep steps to get down to the and then a bit rocky, but defo worth it. Even to just see the different coloured sea...will wait and see if the powers of the work in a few weeks / months time 😀 There is a parking lot above the beach. It costs €5 for two hours and €7 for a full day. The itself is very small, with some pebbles mixed in the sand, so shoes are recommended. The starts getting deeper about 3 meters from the shore, but it doesn’t get too deep, making it great for swimming. I visited this place twice because I enjoyed it so much. On the left side of the beach, there is a cave and some rocks, which make a great photo spot. There is a slight sulfur smell in the water, similar to the scent of eggs, but it wasn’t bothersome. One star just because the peculiar experience gave me a big laugh ! Desperate attempt to hype up a tiny shady little corner of sand and make a fortune from parking fees.. The Car Park is bigger than the ! Apparently it is a Spa with Sulfur and COLLAGEN ! (see my photo of the entrance) Previously I have only come across collagen as an Animal product made from processing animal carcasses after the meat is used. Here it runs from the cliff this must truly be a miracle. ( It looks like a kind of ochre clay shown in my other picture) Go to a nice instead there are plenty of them and with nice perfect clear not full of suspended particles like here. Let's talk about this beach, unique in the island, like any other beach, but the leitmotive of this one is the presence of sulphur... You can smell it you can taste it. The main problems are the little space available and the rudeness if some people who come there. It's difficult to lay on your towel cause you have just 20 metres and something more in lenght but just 5 metres deep from the wall of stone to the sea, moreover you find ten sunbeds, owned by the local bar that occupy big part of the beach(I will not talk about the bar here cause I don't want to miss the point). Last but not least you have to be careful about the garbage unpolite people leave on the shore. Unfortunately the minimum size and the massive presence of people bring to a crowdy and dirty beach. That's a pity for a so unique wonderful landscape. There is a park above the beach, you pay 7 euro for the entire day or 5 euro for two hours. Consider it like a tip. Do not recommend. You have to spend 5€ for parking which is quite weird since other places on the island are free. The is very and full of people. We're here in October and it's impossible to get in and find a place so image the high season... There are lots of beautiful beaches so it doesn't worth it to spend money for this. A but beautiful with crystal clear water. The sea gets deep quite quickly, and because the is small, it’s best to come early if you want to get a spot. I also recommend bringing shoes for extra comfort.
