Excellent course in top condition. This is a mountainous piece of land that's been transformed into a fine and challenging course. Greens roll true and fairways are lush. There are some memorable holes. The views of the surrounding countryside are bucolic. It's a little sad to see all the cut down trees, though. We truly enjoyed our round at Macreddin and would return for certain. As others have said, this would be a large walk, we hired a and were glad we did. Absolutely fantastic course. Chose to walk it and it is quite the walk, but worth it. Never mind the fantastic views, the course is in brilliant condition. Ever hole has a unique feature that makes playing here a challenge that is worth the drive out to it. Highly recommend playing here to anyone who loves golf. Can't wait to play it again. Played Macreddin on 16th Oct 2025, course was in excellent condition, played the course a few times with Societys so new my way around, recommend getting the course guide as gives you a few tips where to place your shot from the tee. Staff in pro shop very friendly, highly recommend this course and to use a buggy, we stayed on the path(winter rules), not much walking todo from the path. This hidden gem was on my radar for some time and finally got to play last week. Excellent test of for all levels. Very welcoming staff. Excellent course in the nature. Fabulous, true but tough course. Fairways and greens are in excellent condition. Take a buggy. It is hilly but views and course condition make it really worthwhile. Staff are the most welcoming i have met anywhere. CAUTION : Do not book through GOLFSCAPE.COM on the Internet as they do not appear to pass on the greenfees - ours hadn't been paid when we arrived. Great course but the only criticism I would say is that there is a very heavy use of pesticide throughout the course. It's everywhere, next to streams, water hazards, pathways, you name it, it's everywhere. Probably the most use I've ever seen on a course. I’ve just completed the five-week Ladies Get Into series and I honestly can’t recommend it highly enough! Stephen’s instruction was clear, concise, and easy to follow, while his relaxed style made every lesson great fun. The group of women was absolutely lovely, and the whole experience has left me completely hooked on golf. If you’ve ever thought about giving it a try, this is the perfect way to start!
