Great place for a nice 2 different routes to take red trial for the waterfall or yellow trail trough the forest. Car closes at 5 so in the first carpark if your planning on staying awhile bit of a to the start of the trail bit it's only a walk. Another beautiful spot in Wicklow to refresh and relax. The woods are a calm place to be in. The feeling of one with the nature is here. Climb the steep woods and you feel at your best. It’s quite a walk, but a good walk. There is ample car parking facility by the entrance of the woods and it’s free( that’s what I believe). A day out with friends of family, you could choose to through Devil’s Glen wood. One of the best forests in the area. I love going there in October when forest changes its colours and in early springtime when nature wakes up again. very nice loopwalks, you cannot get lost over there. I usually avoid weekends as its too many people around. There's few picnic spots and two carparks one at the entrance and at the very end of the road. Just gorgeous. Beautiful woods but it needs better sign posts for visitors. Met 2 couples that looked exhausted and had taken wrong paths back to wrong car parks. Strict dogs on leash policy. It's really nice BUT THE ULTIMATE place is St Ann's dublin I've been all over and it's by far the best there's so much to see and do I've been 3 time and still finding new place's it's the second biggest in Europe 🇪🇺 go go go enjoy 😉 A small car in the forest, follow the path and enjoy the sounds of the river and waterfall. A local -frequented place, far from tourists and crowds. 3.5 km from to waterfall and back Tough for an amateur. But very enjoyable. Beautiful scenery and lovely fresh air. Could get very mucky in wet weather. Well worth the treck. Very nice in the woods, good car that is free and easy to access. From the car you can take a road all the way into Devil's Glen Waterfall. Well worth checking out and it's also free.
