Walking into the pub already gives you a very warm welcome. The staff is just underlining it by being unbelievably friendly and helpful! The food is served quickly and it tasted very very well. Had the lamp shim and the guniess beef. Was amazing, amongst the best food I have ever eaten. Lovely food and nice people. Family friendly. Very nice pub and the Guinness is as other people say 10/10. Had very nice chicken wings and my partner had a small salad. I guess the prices went a bit up because of the inflation but it was worth it! Lovely staff! Probably the best pub in town, lots of space and tv to enjoy whatever match is on. Food was very nice and portions were great, same goes for pints! Great if you like football, nightmare if you don’t! Gorgeous old pub but felt like a sports bar - there were 5 loud TVs in view of my table showing the matches. Decent pub grub menu with the usuals of burgers, wings, fries etc along with some good vegan and veggie options. Definitely a place to come back to, but I’ll prob check the sport fixtures first! Lovely pub, came in after doing the cliff walk along the coast for a much deserved pint. Staff is lovely. Once it got busier the service did get slower but that it expected. We ordered BBQ chicken wings and they are incredible. The cheese burger and steak sandwich were also good. If you’re in the area I would definitely recommend this place. The interior itself is lovely and booths have comfy cushioned seats Really good quality food (and Guinness!) We had the wings to start which were excellent, followed by the fish fingers which were also spot on. The staff were really attentive and the pub has a lovely atmosphere. Perfect pints of Guinness completed the experience. 100% recommended. Went for family meal at Phil’s. Staff super friendly warm and very accommodating! Portions were massive and very tasty! Kitchen had closed but they brought out a little token to celebrate a family members birthday!! Lovely atmosphere and chilled vibes. Would recommend to all!
