We visited in the autumn and the colours are stunning. It's a beautiful garden/arboretum crafted around a clear flowing stream, the River Vartry flowing down from the Wicklow Mountains. Hidden Jen lovely walk around the river lovely view of the heron very unusual well signposted Fantastic garden, visited in July 2025, also nice shops and for relaxing with coffee &bakery or outside studying and working, The change of with colorfull flowerbeds is beautifull, pitty that the storm hit some very old trees, but thats life. But still 88 different to see. River was driving a tuck mill and later a corn mill. Parking lane to small? Park next to the road, no problem. Beautiful gardens with a wide range of and a river running through it. Great for a stroll or for gardening enthusiasts. In February the snowdrops and crocuses were out but I'm sure it would look spectacular later in spring and summer What an absolute gem. We had a fabulous time walking around this magical place. I would definitely recommend it for a chilled out experience. The Mount Usher gardens are a beautiful mix of and plants from all over the world. We came here as a family and enjoyed a slow peaceful walk around the gardens before settling down at their Avoca coffe shop for lunch. The food was spectacular. Although the service could be improved I found it didn’t take away from the overall experience. Overall this was a great experience and I highly recommend Super beautiful and only €10! Very peaceful, Highly recommend! They even let us store our luggage in the office while we walked the gardens!
