Dunmoran Strand

Strandhill, Ireland Tourist attraction

Amazing, we had this all to ourselves for a few hours then joined by a single dog walker. 1.3 miles of sandy Dunmoran strand is a popular location. A bit off the beaten track it is never overcrowded and with ample parking each end with a pub and restaurant one end it is popular with walkers, surfers and everyone in between. It’s a that even when the tide is out it’s not a hike to get to the sea for a swim and with it’s gentle slope it’s perfect for young children. The only thing lacking are toilets and bins … but this seems to be that case on every Irish beach. With all beaches popular with dog walkers you will find some mess an irresponsible owner failed to pick up but in general I would say it’s clean. It’s a nice place for a walk, picnic or just to walk off some lunch from the bar. Lovely clean can get very crowed and busy on good days Wonderful and overnight car park for camper vans First timers here. Myself, my husband and two kiddies under the age of 4. Had a ball twice in one day. Beautiful clean with no obvious rubbish or bins for that matter but a fair amount of seaweed. Adequate carpark with two portaloos which we didn't use nor look into. No lifeguard on duty. Ramp onto for wheelchairs potentially. Great views of Benbulben and Aughris head here. Few dogs being walked. We were here when tide was out and rock pools were there to be investigated and when tide was in and the sea seemed choked with seaweed. Delighted we were staying within 20 minutes of here, it'll be a regular haunt while we're here. Worst bit about here: no bins. Best thing about here: the lost and found box: ingenious. One person's trash is another's treasure!! Lovely place , there's lots of dog walkers can access a bar on other side of , however one car drew up took dog for walk came back with the obligatory poo bag left by side of car , put dog in car and drove off ,great place to surf few people went into swim ,there are two portaloos but no bins , Lovely linear walk along the with great views across to the cliffs of Donegal. And dog friendly! Not the cleanest and it's like a film of oil on the water surface We were a group of 4 and it was a great experience. Sauna is in amazing condition, and the owner is super kind and explains everything really well. We managed to get 3 sessions inside sauna and get 3 plunges in the sea. Booking procesa was also really easy. We are definitely coming back!! Lovely secluded sand beach, ideal if you have a camper. Very quiet and clean chemical toilets available on site. A stunning sandy - a hidden gem on the Wild Atlantic Way. Great for surfing and swimming, weather permitting. Gorgeous short for walking and when the tide is out in decent weather it is possible to walk to the Bar. Views across to Knocknarea and Ben Bulben on a clear day. Lots of parking spaces, although very busy in summer. Such a wet miserable day so it was empty, however on a nice day this place would be a gem. Back in August so hoping the weather will be better. Absolutely gorgeous beach, lovely long, sandy strand and beautiful clear water. Only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because there are no lifeguards on the beach. My little boy got stung by a weever fish and we had to rush to a pharmacy to get help. It's recommended that the foot soaked in hot water asap and lifeguards normally help with this. My advice, wear water shoes this time of year and enjoy this beautiful beach. Beautiful with stunning views and walks, third time here, advise arriving early in peak season, looks very safe for swimming. Atlanski ocean u rujnu. Vrijeme klasicno irsko promjenjivo ali se zato ukazala i duga. U toplije dane ima i kupaca iako je i ovak dan bila jedna hrabra kupačica. Beautiful beach! Good for a swim too! Water is beautifully clear. Beautiful place with not many waves if you want some surfing. Very good for a families and little kids. Awesome place overall, just very little parking! Very nice and cozy place. We had a rest with the whole family. Un spoiled natural beauty, good for swimming Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
