The itself is a hub of activity. For adventure seekers, there are several surfing schools where you can take a single lesson or sign up for a camp to really hone your skills. The waves here are fantastic for all levels. It’s a wonderful place that we love to visit again and again. Nice for walks, sadly couldn’t go up the mountain due to dune works. Public toilet available but you need to be brave to use them.. bus stop just 5 minutes away I love this beach! It's beautiful. Plenty of parking along the front or drive just behind the shops to the carpark and pay €2 which is brilliant. There is plenty to see, eat, drink here! Clean and long sandy beach. Very busy when we visited. There are 2 portable toilets at the bottom of the carpark near the beach. There is a car park on the left side of the road when heading to the about 15minutes walk to the (with vehicle height restriction barrier)and another one near the side which are both free. There are coffee shops, bar and quite few surfing rental business. Beautiful and place for food and shops. Parking can be tough but there is plenty of parking areas. Evening time has plenty of space to park. For food or Icecream/sweets I'd recommend Mammy Johnston's and the Strand Bar.
