Indoor outdoor sitting, toilets, free parking. Friendly staff, nice ambiance and god Food selection is not great. Not really a lunch spot, more for a "coffee 'n cake" moment. Loses an extra star for being really cold on the day with all the patrons still wrapped up in coats and scarves while eating. Called in today for 2 takeaway coffees... have to highlight the excellent customer service I received by the staff working this morning. Good buzz around aswell. Probably would have bypassed it but needed the loo! Typical chain outlet, no real atmosphere or character. Very disappointed to see dodgy workmanship on the hand dryer considering this is a large multi national owned by coca cola.... was nice, but the tarts were dry, few were so bad that thankfully the barista had enough sense to warn up about. Tables and floor were not cleaned and chairs wobbly, understaffed perhaps? Place has been a hit but miss down through the years. Felt like having a latte and a cookie today but all I tasted was chalk from the cookie and no flavour from the latte. Ridiculously expensive too.. Great frappes. Very spacious, clean and nice staff. I recently ordered a and a muffin for takeaway here, but they were both very disappointing. The advertising outside the store is misleading —posters show a and banana chocolate muffin together as though they're a package deal. Upon ordering, I was told there was no deal and that the small and muffin would together cost a whopping €7.90. This price might be OK if they were good quality but what I received was nothing like the poster. The muffin was oily, congealed and the size of a cupcake, and the was burnt and not worth drinking. I complained to Costa via email that day to request a refund, but they completely ignored my request. After following up twice, they finally told me that I could not have a refund because I did not ask for it on the day at the café. Go figure. The handling of my complaint was unreasonable and unprofessional. I would strongly advise others to avoid this café. Misleading advertising, burnt coffee, abysmal muffins, overpriced and terrible online customer service. Staff on-site were nice, but never going back. Better and cheaper next door at McDonald’s. Second time in here in a week. Same person that served me. Not pleasant to come up to the counter. No hello. Either very shy or uninterested. time to wake up a lil and be a lil more enthusiastic to customers.
