Went for a long walk on a lovely sunny day. Breathtaking. You must visit. There is a bus from Sligo Stunning scenery and beautiful clean beach. We were there on a 23 degree day and there was plenty of space on the beach, though the car park was busy. Plenty of other parking options a bit further along though. Great path to the for my wheelchair and for prams and buggies. I took a star off as there were no open toilets and my radar key did not fit the standalone accessible/disabled toilet. Water is great for sea swimming obviously but not a sandy beach. Generous parking Tide was out, sand was warm, ocean was a delight. Great for kid exploring the rock pools and a decent swim without having to walk too far. Sand as far as the eye can see. Parking can be a challenge and some drivers get inventive about where to leave their cars. Plenty of food options with the food/ ice cream / coffee trucks parked on site. The camp site was used by friends who said it was excellently appointed. Clean safe ⛱️ .Cars not permitted. Car park with public+disabled toilet.Pathway down to buggy/wheelchair friendly early morning as tide comes in around 2pm to late leaving limited access.Be mindful of tide times.Prepare to get wet to reach around this time.
