Did not find manager very friendly, but staff were fine. Plenty of outside tables but even with warm sunny weather not available for use. My daughter got food poisoning from muscle in pasta dish has been very ill for 3 days. No apology just denial, but did not charge for that dish. Some of the food over cooked, some food good but could have been so much better. The location lovely. We were there shortly after opening, so place was very quiet, and it was bucketing down, which was a bit of a bummer, but the food was lovely, I had seabass and my wife had scallops. Seen the lobster Thermidor for below €40 and thought it had to be frozen, asked our wonderful host and she assured me her husband is the chef and only uses fresh local seafood. What’s followed was nothing short of the best lobster I have ever eaten, so tender, full of flavour and even the meat in the claws has been deshelled. I can’t wait to sample the rest of your menu, well worth the drive from Inishowen to visit. Lovely, homely restaurant. We enjoyed the chicken burger and the duck.
