Excellent pint of Guinness, and the view was beautiful in the outdoor seating area. We had pleasant weather, which was in our favor because a rowdy bunch was inside watching soccer. However, that meant we were outside with the smokers. Pizza and chips was on the menu. Seems like it varies from night to night. A very easy place to have a group gather. Sorely disappointed upon return... First we had to wait 30 minutes before they took our order because they were “so busy” There really weren’t that many people. The chicken wings were by far the worst I have ever tried. They were deep fried with a meanest amount of franks hot sauce. I asked for more and didn’t see the waiter again until we sought him out to pay. Really disappointed. Wont be back. When you open the door of the Drift Inn, you step into a dimly lit pub which is brimming with maritime artifacts on the walls and the dancing flames of a delightful log fire in a stone hearth. The atmosphere is relaxed and pleasant. The pints of Guinness are top class. Presently, due to Covid the restaurant is closed but tasty pizzas are available. There is ample outdoor dining and a hot food van attends close by on Fridays and Sundays. Live music is also back. For a most pleasant atmosphere, don't let a visit to Buncrana pass without stopping off at the Drift Inn. You shouldn't be disappointed. Très chouette pub local, uniquement des pizzas et burger. Pub in old Buncrana railway station a bit outside the town centre Nice bar area inside , Bar built from a old boat and roof timbers like a upturned keel of a ship ,Real fire nice and cosy Pizza only and then only weekends Some reviews say it’s dog friendly but bar staff said dogs not allowed in bar only in outside area Lovely pub in an old railway station that is over 150 years old. Pints are great. Nice big open fire too. Best bar in Buncrana. Would highly recommend. Nice old converted railway ticket station bar. Large outdoor seating area.
