Brilliant few hours here! Wasn't sure what to expect as some reviews aren't the kindest... we had a fantastic family day out and enjoyed seeing all the of which there were a good selection. Would recommend it for a few hours with the kids The looks very good, the entrance feels so native, definately feels more like a home to the than a zoo, which I loved. The feeding times were not always accurate, talks also took place at random times (staff was clueless about this and no help at all). Please put up a disclaimer about the bear feeding during winter season! We waited 40minutes (with a crowd of people), many of us, ready to leave an hour ago, but stayed only for the bears. Finally, we tracked down the staff, turns out someone forgot to feed the bears. He came back with a bucket with 2 carrots and 2 apples!!! We were disappointed, the were pissed, didnt touch the "food". The guy said they will get more later and that they get less food during winter. I would suggest you ask about what will they be fed, if it's some veg, skip it, waste of time. Definately see the otters being fed, amazing views. Very overpriced gift and food shop, but the pizza was very good. I hate Zoos! The look depressed and lethargic, even the Longleat Tigers and Lions were asleep. Not here, they all looked well cared for and lively and dare l say it...happy. The cafe has excellent Pizza. The owner of the was having a walk around and all the looked happy and chilled to talk with him. A well run with nice touches like the glass window into the badger and rabbit burrows. Great location set in rural Donegal. Fantastic variety of from to Lynx, supported with informative boards, literature and enthusiastic, knowledgeable keepers. There are feeding times advertised at the entrance and these are particularly exciting for children as they get to see the close up. Good for people interested in wildlife photography. One of the most unexpected highlights was the cafe and the hot food offerings. Huge portions of well cooked, high quality food which went down a treat on a rainy Sunday. Very reasonably priced and multiple options for children as well as those with special dietary requirements. Very impressed. The is rounded off with a stop through the gift shop with the option to grab a hot or cold drink and a snack for the trip home. Lots of soft toys and gifts for children. Overall a fantastic facility, wonderful and well worth a visit. Can't wait to return. Worth a with some caveats This is definitely a place worth visiting, with a great selection of and plenty to see. That said, I’d recommend going during off-peak times. On our (midweek, midday, but summer holidays) the seemed to struggle with the footfall. It wasn’t an overwhelming crowd, but it was enough to cause noticeable disruption. For example, ordering lunch was quite frustrating. It took around 15 minutes for a single member to serve coffees and take orders for just three groups ahead of us. After waiting, we noticed that everyone around us was being called for their food, while ours never came. When I asked, it became clear our order had been lost. The food itself was a little overpriced with limited options which is fairly typical for an attraction like this, but given the small menu, I’m not sure why each meal took so long to prepare. The layout also creates several bottlenecks, as visitors are directed along a single route around the park. More presence to help manage busy areas or guide visitors would have made a big difference. At times we saw groups completely miss enclosures, and in one case witnessed visitors behaving inappropriately (taunting or shouting at animals) without any intervention. Overall, it’s a lovely attraction with lots to enjoy, but our felt let down by a lack of cohesive management and visible support. With a few improvements, it could be a fantastic experience. Amazing place to spend time at, ideal for kids and adults alike. Delighted to see that it was also suitable for wheelchair users with every path and walkway being level enough to push the chair on. Animal were great and mostly out and about their enclosures despite the 26° heat. Some great photograph opportunities and the guides gave free talks at various viewing points throughout the day. Definitely a great day out and will again. Visiting Wild Ireland was such a cool experience—especially for us Floridians! It was amazing to see we’d never see in our local zoos or wildlife parks because it’s just too hot back home. My absolute favorites were the arctic foxes and snow owls (we’re big Hedwig fans!). The enclosures were really interesting and let you get surprisingly close to the animals—close enough to touch them (but don’t! They’re still wild, even if they do seem curious and friendly). The arctic foxes were especially bold and came right up to the fence like they wanted to hang out. We also got a kick out of seeing that are totally normal to us—like chickens, parakeets, ferrets, even mourning doves and raccoons—on display. It was a fun reminder of how different wildlife is depending on where you live. Highly recommend this spot if you’re in the area. It’s well-kept, unique, and a great way to spend a few hours learning about you don’t see every day! Really enjoyed our family day out at wild Ireland. We travelled from Belfast and took us 1hr 30mins. Not a really big place but not small either. We got round the route twice seeing all the they had. Highlight was seeing the wolves getting fed. The were impressive also and seen them getting fed also. The entry price was dear enough and would definitely bring a picnic if we were going again. A special place! Amazing to see the brown and wolves and all the other animals. Fabulous experience, the look well looked after, the whole place looks wild and wonderful! I could not recommend this attraction enough. We absolutely loved our afternoon here. The wolves and the definitely stole the show, I've never seen them up close before! But the rest of the attraction is brilliant as well. I got some decent photos today, the weather helped as it was quite warm & bright today. I'd say you'd comfortably get away with using a 200mm lens, I did have my 2x extender on today and that was too long for some shots. If you're happy to carry your bag and lenses about you'll get the best out of it, but you'll get away with a 200mm. Fantastic spot, very accessible. Everything is clearly signposted, cafe is sheltered and reasonably priced, pathways are clear with very little incline, exhibits and enclosures are full of information and wonderful array of animals. were very friendly and helpful - must give a special shout-out to Josh who gave talks at the different exhibits about the animals, their history, diets, living conditions and answered endless questions from the crowd pleasantly and knowledgeably . This was my first trip to Wild Ireland and it did not disappoint. I can genuinely say it was unbelievable. Every way you turn there is a new enclosure with new in every one. We arrived at approximately 11 am and the car was already getting busy. The place just has a lovely relaxed easy atmosphere with a lovely pathway that guides you around the location. Signage was excellent and there are lots of around to help you. We happened upon a talk at the Wolf enclosure and it was very informative with the opportunity to ask questions too. We had brought a picnic with us and were able to use the covered outdoor picnic area. The gift shop is next door and it sells teas/ coffees and snacks if necessary. There is a cafe with the location which sells hot food too be we did not avail of this on this occasion. We bought some plush toys from the shop which were not overly expensive and were able to get a mandatory (for me) fridge magnet! All in all I can honestly say it was excellent. We were a group of 2 adults and 4 kids and we all loved it. Great experience and will most definitely be back.
