The Illusion was one of the highlights of visiting the beautiful city of Maastricht. There’s a wide variety of puzzles, mind games and visual effects. The turning tunnel was definitely our favourite. The whole were super and helpful especially the blonde lady (didn’t catch her name unfortunately), George and Ryan. We would definitely love to come back!! :) HUGE TIPP: book your tickets ONLINE beforehand to guarantee your place. If it’s full you won’t be able to enter the museum. Have fun guys! The Team working there is really nice and cool, they do a great job. My problem are the ticket prices. I have to pay 16.50€ per person, I invited my Friends so i paid 66€ for 4 adults. And actually I would like to get my money back. Thats a lot of money and the only Highlight was the turning tunnel. Hightech light museums in big halls have a lot of expenses, so I would understand higher ticket prices. But this "Museum" is filled with you find on the Internet for free and its so small. You think "Oh you probably can go deeper in the back" and there is just nothing. I was so dissapointed. Even if you interact with everything you are done in under an hour. Would not recommend, really. You can spend your money better. staff, but way too expensive for what you get. They show the typical illusions, not very innovative or creative and very for a museum. For kids more fun maybe but still too pricy. The worst I have ever visited. It is more like a room than a museum. There is nothing much to see. They have printed some of Escher's work and pasted them on the wall. Complete waste of Euro 30 for me and my son. I highly recommend that NOBODY visits this crap. I took my 14-year-old son to of which is in the very centre of Maastricht. As well as the optical there are a number of classic puzzles that visitors can try and solve. If you attempt these then you will have a good visit. If you just pass over these items your visit would probably be quite short. The are very attentive and helpful; they will guide you as to how best use / stage the optical and guide you with the puzzles.
