Wow we were welcomed in like friends and treated to an incredible of and food Thank you so much ! Loved the with some food here! Family owned beautiful hole in the wall place. I absolutely it! We met Maja and her husband at the fair in Virpazar. She was so lovely and welcoming, we had a chat with her about her and about the history of the country. The they produce are excellent, especially the rose with a very original taste. I would anybody that wants to taste the and have a conversation to visit Maja and Misko! I'll definitely come back in the future! Geweldige ervaring! Incredible - one of the best things we did in Montenegro! Intimate at a small in a tiny village, it is a beautiful setting in the mountains by lake Skadar. Misko was a fantastic host, it was a true pleasure speaking with him about his and Montengro! It was an incredibly relaxed setting and experience, the and food were both delicious. We tried four wines, Rakia and 3 liqueurs and thought is was value for money for a private experience. We would highly the experience! (We were staying in nearby Virpazar, which doesn't have a taxi company, but our hotel was able to easily arrange a taxi to and from the winery, so it was very easy to get to and from). Thank you Misko, this was the perfect way to spend our last day in Montenegro! :) Gemütliche Winzerei mit sehr freundlichem Gastgeber und leckeren Weinen. Am besten vorher telefonisch anmelden. Waren spontan da und hatten Glück dass jemand da war. We booked a here last minute over WhatsApp but our hosts were incredibly communicative with the instructions on how to get there and what was included in our chosen package. It's value and we bought home two wines. A visit to Garnet is well worth the trek (although the drive on ancient roads along the mountainside is not for the faint hearted!). Mishko is a wonderful host who takes pride in the fabulous he creates. We tasted four paired with a delicious sampling of delicacies. He even treated us to his delicious rakija. Our visit to Garnet was one of the highlights of our week in Montenegro and we highly it. We booked directly with the on WhatsApp rather than going through a third-party agent. They were highly responsive and made our visit easy. Me and my boyfriend were sent here from our boat tour in Virpazar, the is located about 5km from there. First we thought we were lost since the town is located up hill in a very small village, just a little walk in to the village the was located. We got greeted directly from Misko and had a wonderful with excellent and service. The has been past through generations and you get a nice recap of the family history from Misko . Our is something we will take with us, as for the we bought there 😉 if you want a with localy produced and service, this is the place to go! Thank you to Maja who welcomed us without a reservation and fed us some amazing food alongside the most incredible wine! This was the highlight of our Montenegro trip. Tucked away in the corner of Godinje is this magical winery, which more than the itself is exemplified by the accommodation of the owners. Truly a hidden gem which we are so glad we found. The best 3 hours of our trip, wanted to restart and taste all over again. Hope to be back one day. 💜🥹 We discovered Garnet after a boat tour on the nearby lake and I’m so glad we did. Miško and his wife Maja were incredibly generous hosts; explaining the winemaking, the village, the vineyards and their with and agrotourism. We sampled four and four spirits with generous servings, which were delicious. Maja’s board, tapenade and cheeses were delightful, the tomatoes were beautifully sweet and ripe and the bread was incredible. We were meant to spend 1hr there and ended up spending 3hrs there chatting about wine, Montenegro and tourism. We even taught their son Vedran about Australian Rules footy. Overall it was a pleasure and I’m so glad we found it. Highly recommend. We had a wonderful evening at Garnet Winery. It's incredibly relaxing to be there. The is delicious, and the snacks complement it perfectly. The liqueurs were a perfect end to this perfect experience. Definitely a must if you're in the area! Gorgeous old offering and delicacies in a near abandoned village of Old Godinje. Full of charm, steeped in history, incredibly friendly hosts with near perfect English. Tips on getting there, take the steep road off the main road and follow to where the cars are parked. Follow the middle path, to the right of the one advertsing paradise. Best for sure. It is a hidden gem, looks like and old castle, the road is great, the owner is so amazing and welcoming. We spend 3 hours instead of 1 just talking and enjoyng the and liquers. Best of luck to you guys! The ambience is 100% chilled and private. Choose this place instead of bigger ones. We visited Garnet expecting a proper vineyard or experience, but found only some tables in front of a house and a small sign that said “Garnet.” There was no one around to welcome us or offer any information. The place felt completely deserted, and it was unclear what the “popular” aspect of this was supposed to be. In fact, the does not really exist. Additionally, the path to the location is not accessible for wheelchair users. Overall, it was a disappointing visit with no real experience. Words can’t express the emotion what we felt in Garnet winery! Misko, Maja and their son are the greatest hosts. The is small, but passed through generations. We felt so welcomed that I forgot to take pictures of this stunning winery! Wines were great- four different (white, rose, orange and red), four rakias with different flavors, snacks were very well thought through and the dessert went very well with red wine. If you want to feel the good atmosphere, taste good and food, then this is the MUST go places! Sorry guys for bringing the thunderstorm with us! Good memories were made, so thank you again! Hope to see you again! The entire was absolutely fantastic! Honestly, it exceeded both mine and my friends’ expectations. We had the pleasure of four different wines—white, rosé, orange, and red—as well as four varieties of rakija. The host was incredibly welcoming and took the time to explain the entire production process with passion. And the food—wow! Every single item on the table was a masterpiece. The host baked the bread fresh that very morning; it was unbelievably soft, like biting into a cloud. The cured ham was rich and flavorful, and the selection of cheeses was simply divine. To top it all off, we were served a delicious homemade brownie—hands down the best I’ve ever tasted. As a lovely surprise, the host gifted us a bottle of to take with us and continue celebrating the hen party. This is truly priceless. The winery, nestled in a charming mountain village, offers breathtaking views that make the visit even more special. I wholeheartedly this place to anyone looking for a unique and memorable experience!
