An amazing experience to the biggest car on the world. Very big factory, interesting Sauber und sicher. Sehr zu empfehlen. Introducing the 1970 Volkswagen Beetle! “Say what?” Undoubtedly one of the best automobiles of all time. “Why?” you may well ask. Well, I’m going to tell you why. (1) On the road with title, tax, etc. would run you about $2,100.00 (2) They were extremely reliable with low cost maintenance (you could either take it a dealer and they’d thank you for letting them fix your wagon; or you could repair it yourself- generally speaking, all it required was a screwdriver). (3) They have excellent resale value- they’re now selling between $22,000 and $40,000+, depending on condition. (4) They were great in the snow because the engine was over the drive wheels; that, and there was a steel shell underneath (they could actually float). (5) VW sold over 22M of them. Great of and museum Nice view It was a very disappointing experience for us. We drove especially to Wolfsburg for that and have regretted doing so. The was supposed to be officially 1 hour, but was in reality 50 minutes brutto, but in reality, without the bureaucracy and driving in the factory, we were in reality in the only 25 minutes. The first guide on the general bus didn't have the best of english and was asking his colleague for the words in English. In the the other guide had good english and was explaining very well and interestingly, but was driving fast (25 minutes for the entire assembly line), where we could barely see the robots moving... Do it if you are in Wolfsburg for some reason, but I wouldn't recommend driving there especially for that. I have been waiting for a family car for 1.5 a year. Nowadays it is normal, it would not be a problem, but I expect more transparency from a company like VW, from a precise German company. I cannot believe that they do not have a schedule, and they are not able to communicate when they will start manufacturing the exact cars, or just a prediction based on the queue. If this is not their failure, they should choose more proper resellers. I am very disappointed. update: I ordered the car in early July of 2021. Delivery plan was 24 weeks (+14 weeks of small letters worst case scenario). Reseller said in January 2022 the current plan for starting manufacturing is the 33rd week of the year. Today they said the new plan is 44th week (55th week will be the next), meanwhile customers have already delivered cars, who ordered few weeks and months prior to my order. Inconsistent order in manufacturing is not so professional, or someone does not tell the truth. update2: current schedule is February 2023, but there might be some delay. We are close to the second anniversary. It is ridiculous. Important place, even interesting to watch. If someone is around take a he time to visit car history, kids are entertained too How many cars do you think you would sell with? The old body style with the old motor but with all the new gadgets. Think about it I know I would buy one. Because your motors are beautiful. You could probably go to Flora or California. I want to take a guess. Those motors we're phenomenal. Couldnt see much because everything was either blocked by a fuse box, behind some glass or just not on or hear much because the speaker volume was low in the bus. But the was good lookig and organized. good, nice view, relaxing Management focusing on all the wrong things and taking social and political stands that a car maker has nothing to do with. Horrible upper management causing more harm than good.
