Overall, the establishment has its strengths, but there are areas that need improvement. The food was super delicious. We had Sunday beef roast, mushroom pasta, hot chicken wings, garlic bread and sweet potato fries. We loved them all. There's a kids menu with different choices. The serving people are very kind and lovely. Lovely place, nice food and serving 7th July. Very hot day. Asked for a jug of water 3 times.. Never got it 😠 not happy September 12th, 2023 Not too many people so we did not wait to be seated Nice food as usual Eat here regularly on Sundays and the odd night out with work.the food is very good,quick and hot.plenty of options too,we have a child with special needs and from day one they always look after us where possible with quite table.the best part of this place is the especially on Sundays.youll find it hard to get better food near by. It's more of a restaurant with a carpark outside. Very busy on weekends. A very historic place with photos of the old village on the walls. are friendly and informative. Another firm favourite both for Lunch and entertaining visitors , food is , especially daily specials , roasts , deserts, home made soups , service generally is , by can be hit and miss when it gets busy , has lots of comfortable coves , large dining room , main area is a bit without atmosphere, food is worth the price , Bar has excellent pint of Guiness , more of a winter location but still worth a visit if you are passing for lunch etc , plenty of parking , fish of the day is excellent here as well , as is the lamb , roast beef , ham , fresh fruit pavaloa is beyond sinful ( v ) 😊 Food is delicious. Great choice of carvery dinners. Desserts are yum. Really fresh. The are great. Perfect for a day out. Amazing place - from the to the service to the food. Can’t fault it. Visiting over in Balbriggan and wanted some food before journeying home and the Balrothery Inn had got ratings online so decided to check it out. Wasn’t too impressed with the exterior, seemed dated and drab, but the welcome as soon as we entered was very friendly and there was a crowd of customers eating, so that was promising. The menu was extensive and my son got the burger, I got the chicken wings. Both were served in time and both were delicious, my Chicken wings were top quality, very tasty chilli and garlic. My son loved his burger with a nice BBQ side-sauce. Very friendly staff, excellent choice, excellent food. Well worth the visit 👏🏼 For the price of the food i expected more. It is quite expensive and the serving size is small. The however were very nice A friend recommended The Balrothery & we weren't disappointed, amazing staff, all very friendly & helpful.
