I have been here for a lunch with a friend. the location and the menu are very rustic and nice. they follow the traditional way to offer a experience also for a turist who want to have an authentic experience. the food was very tasty and the price was good. sadly I have to say that as soon as I spoke english intstead of estonian I didn't receive a welcome or smile but my estonian friend did it. it would be receive a service. Restaurant is hospitality, it should be the first thing to do let the customer feel welcomed. Decent food, tasted fresh and home made, but nothing spectacular. Ice cream with apple jam was quite tasty, but it was just one scoop. The place is in beautiful location, Palmse is a very green and calm place close to hiking trails. You can enjoy the dinner outside on a sunny day. You can dine here as in a middle-age pub. But do not expect lack of manners and electricity. Everything we ordered (and the extra stuff we did not order) was delicious and authentic. If you want to experience something Estonian, this is a good place to start. Bogs can be conquered easier with a full belly :-) Great atmosphere and super delicious food.
