The manor was first mentioned in 1510 as a nun monastery. In later centuries it belonged to von der Pahlen family until the Estonian declaration of independence in 1919. Manor was built in 1697 but it was made the way we see it nowadays in 18th century. 💥The house was badly destroyed during the Great northern war and restored in 1730 It has been renovated one more time in 1970-1980's. Apart from the manor house, there are also several beautiful outhouses, such as a distillery, cafe, guesthouse, greenhouse and barn, as well as a great park with typical romantic pavilions and a beautiful pond. 👉 During high season entrence ticket for this museum is priced 9€ for adults. A bit high... however, definitely worth a visit. Beautiful manor in the middle of a fantastic park landscape. The interior is mostly original, very well renovated and arranged. In every room there are descriptions available about the use of the room but also details about life at that time. The libraries contain a large variety of different books from whole Europe. Really very interesting. I strongly recommend. 5 euro entrance fee for the open air museum. If you want to enter the buildings as well, the fee is 10 euro. Very place with 3 hikes foreseen (1,5, 3 and 5km). The park has clearly undergone significant renovation. Some items still remain to do (wooden bridge, viewpoint) but overall a experience. Very large and brand new toilets have been foreseen. Lady at the reception was friendly and there is a small gift shop. 4g coverage is good. Easy morning at this Manor . We took the blue trail - nothing too difficult…. So peaceful . Had a picnic by the lake . Good family time looking manor. Great walk around the garden without having to pay for anything. Worth a visit but dont expect a large chateau . I vote for this place that high, because it is a good view into the past If the development of the family itself. And some parts of economic at this time. The map of the area of the landlord in the Manor House is seldom to find. Visit the National Park visitors center before. Also interesting. A pretty museum for the fans of Estonian history. Don't forget to put a coin in the music cabinet. It's worth doing it to listen to the typical music and to see how it works. It also has a couple of gardens where you can go for a walk or just relax. historic place. It rained a lot so our visit was quite short. Beautiful manor with large garden in national park Very cool place to visit on a sunny day. We just drove here by accident so it was a surprise. This is almost literally middle of nowhere. Very garden, intersting interiors Very beautifull! Grate way to see the past.ovely reconstruction of the era. The gardens and lake were magical. We totaly recommend. When we were here, the museum was closed and it was free to visit the territory (except buildings). and atmospheric place with old trees, wild ducks on a pond. Be aware not to hit your head in the cellar behind the pond! A beautiful place to take a walk at. Make sure to find the little farmers' self-service shop 100-200m past the main entrance: delicious local vegetables and eggs.
