Very nice, open building hosting a library, one for kids and one for adults, a cinema, a small cafe bar, a theater, a makersspace. Snacks, coffee, toilets, printers and more. Also language lessons are given to newcomers. Paid 🅿️ parking can be done below the building. The library has a nice collection of art books and magazines. There is even an English section. You can walk in freely. To lend a book you need to become a member. There are no international newspapers. Now and then you can buy nice books for almost nothing that are removed from the collection, The library is situated on the edge of the center.of Assen. A colorful crossing path lead's you to the new.plaza. Enjoy your self. Great building! But it would be great to have more silent areas reserved for study, far from noisy adolescents etc I pretty love this place! Polite and gorgeous library for studying! Excellent staffs! They are very kind and polite. We've been there for library and movie theater since 2019. Today my daughter who has leukemia, needed to use toilet urgently ( result of medication). It's not a movie time yet but I decided to ask for using toilet. They are very kind even checking if everything was OK with her while she was in toilet. We so much appreciate your kindness. Thank you so much. We went to DNK on May 6 for a sharing dinner and a performance by Peter Pannekoek. The dinner tickets stated that we had to be there at 5:30 PM for dinner. However, this turned out to be on site at 18:00 and only then did the gates open. After dinner, which was delicious and sufficient, we were able to go to our seats on the second balcony at 20:00 to see Peter Pannekoek's show. Now I'm not super tall with my 1.95 meters, but I couldn't put my legs properly while sitting in the chair and I sat with my knees against the chairs in front of me. This is not comfortable and then such a performance of an hour and a half is quite long. By the way, I enjoyed the performance by Peter Pannekoek. But for next time I will look for other seating areas that offer more space. It's like someone took a pile of mismatched Legos and decided to call it architecture. With its jarring angles and eyesore-inducing facade, De Nieuwe Kolk stands as a monument to bad taste and poor urban planning. You'll find yourself wondering if you've stumbled into an avant-garde art installation or just a really unfortunate construction project. And don't even get me started on the interior. The rooms are colder than a polar bear's toenails, making you wish you'd brought a parka instead of a playbill. It's like they're trying to recreate the ambiance of an ice cave, minus the majestic beauty and sense of wonder. But wait, there's more! If you manage to brave the Arctic temperatures and make it to the ticket counter, prepare to be fleeced like a sheep at shearing time. The prices at De Nieuwe Kolk are so exorbitant, you'll be tempted to take out a second mortgage just to afford a seat in the nosebleed section. So if you're in the market for an architectural eyesore, a frosty reception, and a hefty dent in your wallet, look no further. Very clean and good please to watch movies however movies arent available such as groningen and other cinemas around the netherlands Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
