It's a great palace wonderfully restored and the concept vibrant and modern with displays, movies and plenty of text as well. The design is up to the highest standards and the gift shop had quite a few items to offer. However, there is still a lot of work to be done to bring more items on display and fill the, otherwise, mostly empty rooms. The outside yard is full of greenery and especially inviting on a hot summer day This Szekler National is one of the best museums in Romania, which belongs to Hungarian minorities. This stunning was built in 1913 by the star architect of that time Károly Kós who erected many impressive buildings, and he projected not only the marvelous buildings, but also their interior designs too. Before this was built, it's collection was gathered in a small village already in 1875 . People are usually shocked about the diversity of the collection which has natural, archeological, ethnographic, history and other important document about this region . For.example the Apor codex which is very old etc. I recommend this very much, and please hurry, because it will be closed to renovation soon. Lots of culture to learn about the history of Covasna County and Sfântu Gheorghe City dating back from thousands of years ago. Highly recommended to take a guided tour. Pe langa exponatele incarcate istoric, sunt si foarte multe activitati interactive. Personalul din cadrul muzeului este foarte dragut si bine pregatit. A beautiful location, with great potential and some cool ideas for history lessons. Quite modern with AI-augmented displays, cool animations and depictions of historical moments. However, it's not done... The price is quite steep for how empty most of the rooms are. A lot of the displays are partly covered and presented as "teasers" for ongoing restorations. Most of the information is easily obtainable online. A wonderful experience in a historical newly renovated place with modern technology's. A padlón lévő térbeli, fekete-fehér design kockák zavaróak voltak, mert a színük megegyezett a járólappal, így folyton beléjük botlottunk, mikor közelebbről szerettünk volna megnézni egy-egy kiállítási tárgyat. Ezt a múzeumot nem volna szabad Székely Nemzeti Múzeumnak hívni, ugyanis az eredeti koncepciót tükröző, a székelység életét és történetét bemutató gyűjtemény a felújítás óta a múzeum raktárában porosodik, lehet, hogy örökre. Az alapítónő, akinek az egyik állandó kiállítást szentelték, bizonyára forog a sírjában, hogy így semmibe veszett a fáradozása. Összesen két állandó kiállítás van a múzeumban: az egyik az alapítónőről szól és a múzeumalapítás történetét mutatja be (vagyis a múzeumnak ez a része egy metamúzeum, hiszen magáról a múzeumról szól), a másik pedig az 1848-49-es forradalom és szabadságharc háromszéki vonatkozásait mutatja be. Ezek kiváló időszakos kiállítások lehetnének, de hol az eredeti gyűjtemény, amely az állandó kiállítás gerincét alkothatná? A múzeum nagy tudású és segítőkész alkalmazottja semmi jóval nem tudott bennünket biztatni a jövőre nézve. Az igényesen felújított Kós Károly-épületet és udvarát látva nem tudok másra gondolni, mint arra, hogy a gyűjtemény bemutatására már nem maradt pénz...
