Absolutely superb food. All cooked to order. May have to wait a while but certainly worth it. We ordered from the "early bird" menu. Lots of choice. We ordered the peanut chicken- was divine. Good portion size. Staff were attentive but not "in your face." Shame it's not my local. Very friendly staff, couldn't do enough to help us with 2 dogs, one his first time in a pub. Excellent food will be going again thank you. Came back this year 2025, excellent service and delicious food thank you again. Called in without booking and they managed to fit us in. Food was excellent and reasonably priced would certainly recommend The food was absolutely fantastic, so much so that after our first visit, we booked for the next night. Yes, the service wasn’t the fastest, but the staff were kind, helpful and absolutely rushed off their feet. Thank goodness we don’t have this place near us, or we’d be there every single night! Excellent service despite it being really busy for the Steak night for £12. Neither of us had steaks but meals were amazing and filling Perfect place to celebrate dad’s 80th. The staff were so accommodating, friendly, we were treated like royalty . The food was absolutely exceptional. We were very impressed. We were very dubious with the extent of the menu but were not disappointed. In our 8 days stay in the area we frequented this wonderful establishment 5 times , eating each time just content resist and it made our holiday . We also invited our friends over to stay from Carlisle for Saturday lunch and arrived at 1.30 left at 5 ish . Exceptional value for money I don’t know how they do it . It was packed every night and weekend . I don’t understand some of the reviews . We have eaten in the best places in the country- and the Brownlow arms did not disappoint. We will be back Went for a meal on Saturday evening the night itself i couldn't of faulted apart from 7 children had been left unsupervised in the games area while the parents had a meal in the restaurant Our seat location was spoiled by these children who were left to run wild running around from restaurant to games room. Shame on the parents I bet you all had a nice evening while the rest of us suffered.
