Used to love this place, however ive been really disappointed with our most recent experience. Food took two hours to arrive and our large portion of chip shop with salt and vinegar were actually a really small portion of dry oven chips. Really sad to see this as it used to be good, unfortunately won't be returning. Great local chippy! Do pay them a visit when you're done with The Tank Museum. Had cod and and a cheeseburger meal. It was born more from necessity rather than anything else as we were on holiday, it was a Sunday evening and nothing else in the area seemed to be open. They also delivered which was bonus. I’m sorry to say, it was the worst fish and I’ve ever had. The food took forever to turn up so when it did arrive it wasn’t very warm at all. My fish was very undercooked, it was still quite raw inside. The were also inedible, tasting somehow stale and undercooked. Two cheeseburgers also went in the bin because they were equally unpleasant. I spent nearly £60 and it all went in the bin, extremely disappointing! This place could do a lot better, maybe the owners need to sit down and sample their own foods to see where improvements need to be made. Also some food handling refresher training would be a start. Food was awful. Not often I see the kids refuse to eat chips. Batter was soggy too. Wouldn't go back. We went to Dorset 4 a couple of days & were very surprised 2 find that most pubs don't serve food on a Monday evening. Driving around 2 find a place 2 eat, we came upon Dorset Grill House. A very pleasant lady served me, good value 4 money, food was piping hot, prepared quickly & tasted great. We only had lamb kebabs, but it was perfect. Shame ur not more local 2 us xx I would not bother wasting your money. This place had gone downhill massively. £22 for 2 extremely dry, hard, chicken kebabs. Took 90 minutes to deliver for it to just end up in the bin. How is this place still even open after reading the reviews? Ordered a kebab, when it arrived half was missing, OK gave them the benefit of the doubt. Stupidly went back, another day, phoned at 7. Tried to order a pizza, was told certain topping's, were not available. OK, no worries. Asked for a chicken donor. Was told not available. So went for a chicken shish. Waited 2 hours. When it arrived was cold. Wrong. £8.50 for this!! And a pound delivery. Used to be nice, convenient food. Wouldn't even give this to the cat!! 💩🤢🤮 We ordered fish and chips. The fish was the worse fish and i ever had. The batter was tasteless and undercooked . None of us could finish it. It was a disappointing.
