If you want space in your caravan, do not book. When it says it sleeps 6, its a joke. The sofa bed is the worst thing I have ever seen. If you want to wash in a facility, do not book. Our shower was mouldy, and had what looked like bogeys on the wall and ceiling. If you want to use the cutlery in your without completely washing it all first, do not book. If you want to be able to use the heating, do not book. If you want a warm indoor swimming pool, do not book. Not one of the five kids we had with us (over two caravans) could manage 1 hour in the and did not want to go back the second day. If you want to get your babies dressed in a private cubicle after swimming, do not book. Considering this is a family centre, you would expect baby change cubicles right? Facilities came out and fixed our heating and were kind enough to come back later to make sure it was working, luckily, as it wasn't. But they left 2 screws on the floor of our caravan! 🙄 Our 18 month old handed them to us! Honestly, best part about the site, was the kids and evening entertainment. Would not visit again. Waste of our money. Whats worse, did not look like pictures. In the pictures there was a heater on the wall and the oven was opposite side, but this was not the case. Oh and the oven temperature gauge had been rubbed off, so we had to guess what temperature we were setting our oven to! We have visited Sandford many times in the past and it's always been very good. This time was a little disappointing. Our first was really grubby, sofas were significantly stained and it smelt like cooking and cigarette smoke. We managed to swap vans, it was slightly better but not the best. The kids enjoyed themselves. The arcades and areas are good. The was nice and warm. The crazy golf could do with updating. Not sure if we'll go again, will probably try to make sure we a newer van to avoid disappointment next time. What can I say? I've been coming here since childhood, and now that I have my own family, I will continue to visit. I truly believe that whether it's peak season or off-peak, this place will cater to you and your family. When we have the time, the adult is a great source of fun for my partner and me, while our child listens and enjoys the atmosphere. When my little one isn't bouncing off the walls, he interacts with the staff, who are always attentive and engaging. The children's has consistently been excellent, and kept him interested on whats going on . We've participated in as many activities that we can fit in the day like arts and crafts, Build-a-Bear, mini blasters, outdoor activities and both indoor and outdoor fun. Each time, the has been incredibly welcoming. Honestly, you can't put a price on the passion they have for their jobs. From what I've observed, the genuinely care about their work and seem to enjoy it, which is wonderful to see. My little one attended an outdoor swim party, and despite the typical British weather, they moved it indoors. To be fair, I expected them to cancel it altogether, but it went ahead. My family was the only one to show up, which I didn't anticipate, especially for the outdoor event. But to each their own! Once again, the lifeguard was engaging with him as soon as he arrived, and suddenly, all but one lifeguard on duty decided it was time to have a party. They had fun with water guns and balls and floats all the joined in, making it a memorable experience. I would have gladly paid to witness that kind of joy my child was having! As always, the has been exceptional, from the lifeguards to the activity hub and crew , who were also interactive with my child. The static we have is one of the older models that has been revamped at some point, but that doesn't bother me. I opted for the cheapest option, so I don't expect it to be top-of-the-line. It's still comfortable. I can't comment on the tent and at the back of the site, as I've never seen a reason to try it. I've always booked well in advance, allowing for monthly payments, which gives me more opportunities to save. This is our third day of a seven-day stay. Like everything, this is just my opinion and experience. Thank you, Sandford Parkdean Resort, for making our holiday truly memorable! A special thanks to William at reception—he greeted us warmly when we arrived early and kindly helped us store our luggage so we could visit Durdle Door hassle-free. When we returned to check in, he remembered us and promptly returned our luggage. That small gesture meant a lot! The we stayed in was clean, tidy, and comfortable. Throughout our stay, every member we encountered was friendly, polite, and always had a smile on their face. You really do feel welcomed here. Thank you again for the wonderful holiday experience—we’re already looking forward to coming back! This is great if you want a lot going on. It has lots of activities for family's with of all ages, including an indoor and outdoor swimming pool, amusement arcade, crazy golf, areas and nightly entertainment. Its also great to take dogs too. The we stayed in was spacious and although they are packed in and are very close to the neighbouring vans..I would have preferred a little more space. The onsite food places like the fish and chip shop and chicken van were really nice if a little expensive as was the onsite shop, but if needs must its there!.x We went out of season so it was relatively quiet i probably wouldn't go back peak season as it would be way to busy and cramped for me. Overall we enjoyed our of 3 nights. We stayed in the Campervan pitches at Sandford park. The pitches were electric and a decent size, they had both grass and gravel pitches available. The pitches are located approximately 10 min walk away from the area which means they’re lovely and quiet. The communal shower blocks are kept very clean. The here was fantastic! Great for all the family, with kids shows and singers/dancers later on, also bingo! They have a great arcade and restaurant area. Aswell as 2 areas, good for of all ages. Would recommend! First got to the holiday and it was pleasant. Very pretty holiday park, great layout, easy to find. We booked a deluxe which was nice, and all the extras as you would expect. The club, people are queuing from 5pm to get into the club, if you don’t want to queue, then do not expect to get a table, I was almost fishing with some idiot over a table I had been waiting for for over half an hour. We tried again on the Saturday night and gave up, just not a pleasant experience. The club is not big enough for the amount of people, was pretty decent though, so if you can get a table it’s probably worth going. The pool, the coldest I have ever been in, stayed in for 5 mins to jump into broken showers. Could be so much better but really don’t bother going to the swimming pool. Went for a curry at the local Nepalese restaurant which is just over a mile away, very nice food so well worth a visit if you like a curry. Over all mixed experience, I would again as a last resort. We have stayed in the lodge and it’s been an absolute amazing away from home, the lodges are highly recommended. We also used the all inclusive package for our food and drinks and this is totally worth it. Food was lovely. Massive shout out to Paula in the arcade she was so lovely and friendly to our little one. She is so approachable and helpful. We noticed when she’s working the machines are well stocked and everything is nice and tidy and when she’s not there the machines are empty so you don’t want to and play. Please pass on our thanks to her. She is definitely a credit to the park. Just returned from a 4 night break in 3 bed Sturminster caravan, really enjoyed it. The was clean, modern and plenty of room for three adults. very tidy, well laid out. Restaurant served good food, but would also recommend Clay Pipe pub next door for excellent food and prices. Loved the amusement arcade too. Great location for lots of attractions nearby. Would again. On arrival the smell of dog was absolutely overpowering. The safari tent was clearly not properly cleaned before our as there was rubbish left behind from previous guests such as sweets packets and dirty cutlery. The sofa bed was completely unusable. Not only did it appear old it smelt strongly smell of dog and have dog hair all over it, the covers were ripped and they didn’t even fit properly. Unfortunately it didn’t stop there. After sleeping in the beds on our first night we discovered they were also covered in dog hair which was extremely unpleasant and unacceptable, especially as we were staying with young children. The heating in the tent was completely inadequate. This was even joked about by at check-in which didn’t feel reassuring given the cold temperatures. We reported the dog smell and cleanliness issues to reception. Someone did come out and they did acknowledge the smell and told us a cleaner would return the following day, although we were warned the furniture would then be wet and unusable. In the end no one ever came back. Due to the cold conditions and poor accommodation standards we left the site that evening and stayed elsewhere so our could be warm and comfortable. When we later contacted Parkdean about our concerns and our early departure, the response showed a complete lack of care or accountability. We were also extremely disappointed by the lack of supervision in the soft area. There were over 40 inside with no visible monitoring. were openly bullying and trying to harm another child, to the point where my husband had to step in to help the boy being targeted. Eventually, we located security, but instead of removing the causing the issue, they chose to close the soft area altogether so no could use it. After this incident, my were too worried to return in case the same came back, meaning another facility advertised for families became unusable for us. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. The safari tents are not worth the money and we would not recommend them to anyone. Edited to add that I did include photos of the accommodation on my review however it seems my review isn’t published if they are included!!
