Never fail to visit Criccieth when we are in the area! This is a shingle /pebble with railings at the road side. The is well below the height of the road so you have to use the steps or the ramp to access the beach. This means you can only get down at either end. The rocks create several rockpools at low tide that harbour lots of life, jellyfish are quite often swept into the so be careful. At high tide there is verry little as the sea comes right up to the sea walls. No toilets or shops on this side but the views out to sea and of the castle are fantastic. Lovely bakery and good coffee shops, well worth a day investigating the town and the beach. Nice little to stretch the legs on. Beautiful view of Castell Cricieth on the hill.
