Nice country pub, Sunday was very tasty and waiter was friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend. Absolutely amazing. The food is here. Not the cheapest but very high quality. So tasty and worth the money. One of the nicest restaurants in the area. It has atmosphere and the staff are really friendly. Overall the food is superb and I recommend, we will definitely visit again This is a wonderful village pub. Food is fantastic, atmosphere, not too pricey. Staff are so too, very attentive. They have good deals on, such as the curry club Mondays, live music, quiz nights, etc. So glad it has been revived, and to see it busy. I've been here once for and once for a party in the private function room in the past couple of weeks. Both times, the food, service and atmosphere has been fabulous. value, beer and a proper country pub. Good bear and plesent staff....worth a visite..... Had a time meal which was superb. Service unintrusive and excellent. Will be back. Popped in on Thursday this week for a spur of the moment meal. Met with a warm welcome, shown to a table with drinks and food arriving swiftly. The food was delicious. Really well presented and incredibly tasty. The belly pork was tender, with beautiful crackling and a sumptuous sauce. The clam tine and gingerbread upside down cake was unreal. Could have eaten it again! AND……very reasonably priced. For a freezing cold night, we left warm and happy. Will definitely be back. Just been here for with our dog and a friend. We had read very mixed reviews so we were not sure what to expect. It was a very relaxing, lunch. The place is relaxed, welcoming and friendly. The staff are lovely, friendly and efficient. The menu was good and my husband who is a vegetarian was delighted with his veggie pie! My friend and I had the fish and chips which was and the desserts were different and delicious. We will return. Very nice roast dinner, service and a cosy atmosphere Have not had such a good dining experience since a Michelin star in Oban. Exquisite menu, chef showing some real talent. I’m not normally a fish man but the lemon sole was to die for. I’ve seen many cheese boards and the cheese was good but the biscuits were a wow - really unusual I know but please try it. Have no hesitation in recommending this with a decent wine list what’s not to love. Food of this quality is worthy of support. A beautiful Sunday roast with a warm and welcoming atmosphere Went here today for Sunday lunch, it was our first time since the new owners took over. Oh dear, what a shame. The place was empty, and the quality of the food has deteriorated. It’s definitely not fine dining now. As pub menus go, this was in a different league. Ate there 2 days in a row! Superb value for money - food absolutely delicious and worthy of a top class restaurant (compliments to the new chef!), but the place has a relaxed “pub vibe” too. Best of all worlds! Highly recommend if you’re looking for cosy pub at an affordable price, but with wow factor. A welcoming Gastro-Pub, friendly and accommodating staff who were well-motivated and eager to ensure our visit was memorable. Asolutely decor. touches in the ladies toilets with complimentary sanitary items, a selection of hand lotions and quality liquid soaps. Food was served in a timely manner, freshly cooked, on the eye and taste buds too! Only minor gripe was that we weren't offered mint sauce for the roast lamb or horseradish sauce for the beef, but it did not spoil our special meal which was well-seasoned anyway. We ate virtually all our meals and left totally full for the rest of our day. Highly recommend a visit as I'm confident that we'll return (good half-way point between my husband and I and our daughter and son-in-laws homes).
