Victoria Harbour

Dunbar, United Kingdom Marina

One of the Best Places To Visits in Dunbar Top-rated.online cuts through the clutter, highlighting only the reviews that are most helpful, earn the most likes, or come from the most active contributors. One of the finest harbours I've seen in a long while . We were exploring several places so often passed by bot near enough The Great North Road to warrant the diversion. How such old fashioned towns meet the needs of the official populace, never mind us tourists, is quite remarkable considering all the rush for what our masters call progress, I take my hat off to people of Dunbar.l Grand day out in Dunbar. Walk around Victoria and soak up the history and the views. Then walk into the equally historic town. Had to wait for the bridge or walk the long way around the harbour. Bit on the breezy side . Nice, pretty with Dunbar castle ruins on the wall. Nice chat with locals, great visit/experience. Nice village Beautiful with nice views and a couple of ruins to look over. Plenty of walks along the coast too Interesting and picturesque harbour. Lots of good information boards Beautiful busy working situated on the south east coast of Scotland. Fantastic scenery and wildlife, including seals, kittiwakes, herons and shell ducks. Shellfish often available for sale. The Kittywake Snack Shack serves food and beverages in the summer months. Loved it Fantastic place to around get fresh fish straight off the boats. We stayed at the overnight, there is room for about 8 motorhomes. There are pubs and cafes all within walking distance. There is a £10.00 honesty box on the harbour, if you want to know all about the area the harbourmaster was very helpful, there is a tap for fresh water but no other services. The lifeboat and fishermen work from just in front of where you park so park between the lines and not over as you will be asked to move. This is a working harbour. Abide by the rules and you will have a great time. Beautiful place, battery is very well kept, great town and shops. Fabulous small, working, harbour. We were lucky enough to experience a Coastguard / RNLI exercise on the day we were there. Lovely place to walk with lots of interesting features. Had a great time & only wish we'd discovered it sooner! Love visiting the working as there is always plenty to see... seals, fishing boats, diving boats and trawlers, and if you are very lucky a sea otter.
