Lots to rock pools and fantastic to Swim, provided done safety. Take a day, take a picnic, take family and friends, take a towel and take swimwear. And take everything back with you. Highly recommended 👌 Absolutely love this spot! I privately owned that costs £5 to enter (2025) but ie worth every penny. Side paths are well maintained, the front seat view of Bass rock is beautiful. Scotlands smallest Harbour is interesting too, carved in the rocks 🪨 Amazing with closed view of both Tantallon Castle and Bass Rock, surrounded by a woodland and an estate with a castle, stables and horses. Very relaxing dog friendly walk! Beautiful and a great spot with nice views towards tantallon castle and bass rock. First car park next to the with a few stairs to walk down and even bathrooms just around the corner following the first car park area. What a lovely place. Beach, views, harbour and castle. Access to is via a single track road/ dirt track, which due to weather is quite uneven in places. There is a £3 entry to this access, payable at electronic barrier. Toilets at 2nd parking area. Really this is definitely worth a visit. Ironically, I'm asking you to NOT tell anybody else about this ! It's glorious! Currently, due to COVID-19 restrictions, there are no toilets / facilities ! Also . . . You need £3 in coins to get your car in to the car park (there's plenty car-parking spaces available). Beautiful with nice view of Bass Island and surrounding cliffs.
