A good place to go for nature enthusiasts. We really enjoyed our visit to Twm Siôn Cati's Cave. We went during the school Easter holidays and drove up from Llanelli. The only downside we found was the main entrance, car park and board was closed for repair. We turned around and headed down to the pull-in a few hundred metres back down the road. We had a through the woods, the littlest got a bit scared on the path as it was high and the river was fast flowing. It was quite a challenging and scramble in places, but we loved it. I'm not fit at all (over-weight and not particularly energetic) and I managed fine. The stairs were challenging but manageable. The was slightly underwhelming, but the views were worth it 100%! We thoroughly enjoyed our family adventure! We're looking forward to going back in the summer when the boardwalk is hopefully fixed. N.B. Not suitable for those with mobility issues. We love this place. Beautiful trees and river, and interesting to see the cave. But it's not an easy walk, there are some sections that are more of a scramble than a so you'll need sturdy shoes! And you'll need a bit of a head for heights on some bits. If you've got limited mobility, the board is to do on its own (although only a short section is currently available due to a fallen tree - they are replacing the broken section). If you want to do the circular you'll need to park further down the road (a map is available in the usual car park). This place is an absolute gem. A friend and I found it while cycling last August and came back the next day to the trails. Photos just can’t do it justice, the river side of the is so magical! The isn’t the highlight of the walk, it’s the rest of the scenery! The forest side of the is much easier going, and the loop is about 4km.
