Our first visit but definitely not our last We booked this last minute, we booked a silver dog friendly lodge which got us the most beautiful sea view. Rooms clean and everything provided you would need for a weekend away. Only downside was the bathroom wasn’t the best but it was stated in the guide the shower pressure isn’t great. Nice pub onsite, right on the coastal path and friendly staff. Will definitely be back. Have been here for the last few years after a late booking after we got married and have come here since. So far we have loved it but we were let down this year. We have booked to go again but contacted to cancel 28 days before we went away due to my husbands grandfather having had a massive stroke only to be told that although it specifies less than 28 days in the cancellation policy we were on day 28 and therefore would lose half of our already fully paid booking fee. There was no sympathy or discretion on this despite the cancellation policy saying less than 28days and more than but nothing either way about day 28 which as it was first thing and we can't get in till the afternoon would technically be over 28 days. I was really disappointed at the lack of caring and customer service and as we are now just over a week away and his grandfather May not last the next fortnight we are left unsure what to do but knowing we are unlikely to book here again.
