Lovely manor house, designed by Nash before he was famous and now cared for by the National Trust. The has been beautifully restored by the 'Trust,and it's a delight with enthusiastic room guides and good information boards detailing the family story. Outside there are lovely formal and informal gardens, plus many outbuildings and farm buildings to explore. Also there's a farm machinery collection to marvel at the ingenuity of the times. There's a cafe next to the carpark that serves coffee, tea, cakes and hot food. And a secondhand bookshop. We'll remember the Nash architecture and the friendly volunteers. 😎👍👍👍👍 We really loved this NT property. Friendly and helpful staff. Great and plenty of information and see different time periods. The cafe is independent but does nice food and very popular as people woods next door. Everything is not to far to see on site. Highly recommended. Cheers Definitely worth visiting! The estate is easily accessible both by car and by public transport. The Georgian- era itself is absolutely beautiful and really feels like something out of a Jane Austen novel. You can easily spend a day here learning about all the history and exploring the area. Well what a nice way to spend an hour or two. Although the weather was a little murky and the gardens are out of season we still had an amazing time. The place is great and as you can see by the photos, it is definitely worth a visit. Great family day out. Lots of walks airing the area for different abilities including easy ones around the amazing gardens and longer ones through the woods. is definitely worth visiting too. Grounds are dog friendly but under control as there are animals around. Amazing Georgian with unique shaked doors and very well.looked after. Large walled garden and choice of walks in the wooded area near the cafe we did the blue walk and it was a nice hour long but options for longer. Lovely huge lake. There was only 2x calves Guernsey when we here and saw chicken and ducks. Only stables you can sit for a picnic loads of outdoor seating. Mostly dog friendly. There is a walk to the local seafront from here but it was raining so I didn't do it then. The cafe is not national trust at the site. A lovely national trust. Family friendly, push chair friendly. Dogs allowed but not in the understandably. The is a nice experience. The gardens are wonderful. Lots of lovely flowers and vegetables growing. Wish I could come back later in the year to see the vegetables grow. The best bit of the for us and our toddler had to be seeing the lambs, sheep, chickens, and horses. We happened to while the Easter trail was running, and our little one loved the games on her way around. My favourite national trust hall yet, not just for the design of Nash’s work, but the neighbouring farm buildings and animals. While booking in at front desk this morning, Thurs 4th Sep, we were asked if we wanted the guided tour of the main house, with guides in costume, we accepted and I cannot find the words to express how good the tour was. The volunteers were all in costume playing characters from different periods of the houses history. They made the play funny and entertaining for all as the play moved from room to room around the whole telling different stories of the people who had lived there. Excellent job, I would definitely recommend this to anyone. We chose Llanerchaeron to host our wedding ceremony and photos. We had our wedding on a Monday as it is closed to the public and therefore we had the grounds to yourselves. The grounds are beautiful and are the perfect backdrop to capture those wonderful memories. From beautiful walled gardens to a dreamy woodland lake and majestic 1700s Georgian villa this was a dream affordable venue for us. We wanted to get married in the area as it holds sentimental value for us and Llanerchaeron was the perfect choice for us. We were able to turn the coach into our personalised ceremony room to make it our own. Special thanks to Olivia who co-ordinated it all and went above and beyond to make our day so special. The great thing about Llanerchaeron is we will be able to revisit our wedding venue for years to come and relive those wonderful memories. Thank you so much for this wonderful place. Lydia and Lee Smith Love this place, we at least 6 times a year. Beautiful walks around the estate though parts involve quite a steep climb. Our favorite part is the walled garden - lots to see and well placed benches to relax in. The is interesting, especially on reenactment days. Only criticism is no gift shop but does usually have a large selection of 2nd hand books.
