This place is well worth a visit, came across it by accident but glad we did, lovely walk good with the dogs as well, gift shop, boats, children's play ground, historic church ruin and the café was excellent good food friendly staff and the dogs were welcome can't fault it Lovely clean cafe. We had a nice breakfast, a good fry up & delicious pancakes. There is also a great gift shop & ice cream parlour onsite. We enjoyed feeding the ducks - (food available at gift shop) before having a lovely stroll around the lake. Or you can hire a paddle boat/kayak. Terrific place for a walk around the lake. The Lakeside Cafe adjacent to the is a great place for coffee, snacks and touristy stuff as well. Amazing place for a walk. Well maintained and easy access with pushchair as well. You can find all the facilities which you need for a relaxing afternoon even with kids ;) Gentle stroll around with great views , nice little shop , for the obligatory sweets We visit the at Llandrindod Wells every time we’re in town — it’s a favourite spot for the whole family! There’s a brilliant playground that keeps the kids entertained for ages, and the walk around the is lovely and relaxing with great views and plenty of wildlife to spot. The facilities are excellent too: clean toilets, a handy little shop selling sweets, ice cream and souvenirs, and a café/restaurant upstairs in the boathouse if you fancy a sit-down meal or a coffee with a view. Always a great atmosphere and something for everyone — highly recommend! Lovely with lots to see even when busy. Graceful swans with mallard ducks and moorhens. Beautiful water sculpture with fountain feature. Restaurant good as well. Sit outside if weather allows. Free parking around the lake. Cafe, toilets, and camper vans can park (always check current rules). 2 minutes to the town centre and local walks. We visited in June. school holidays will be busier!
