Can also suggest going to a walk to see the motte and baily castle or the view from up the hill! Lovely countryside. Really lovely pub with great food and the most wonderful service. Felt super welcome. Real ale, and slow cooked lamb. Perfect Lovely en-suite rooms, great breakfast, gluten free catered for, great friendly service. Great atmosphere. Lovely people. The team at The Seven Stars genuinely go out of their way to make you feel welcome. We’ve used their premises several times now and have never once been disappointed. If there isn’t enough room on site, they’ll even help find nearby places so you can all stay together – that extra effort really sets them apart. The food is always warm, the beer perfectly cold, and the company absolutely fantastic. A true gem of a pub that never fails to deliver – highly recommended! This must be the best pub I have stayed in. Good atmosphere, friendly staff, great food and good selection of beers. We stayed overnight in a twin room which had everything we needed. They saved the best until the last, the breakfast in the morning was off the scale. Thank you all. Two of us stayed here for three days of the Hay Festival. Beautiful twin room with our own bathroom and well stocked hospitality tray and comfy beds. We felt welcome, everyone friendly and helpful. Excellent evening meal and utterly lavish breakfasts with wide choice. It’s in a quiet and picturesque setting, views to die for. Amazing value, would happily have paid more, don’t know how they do it for the price! Will definitely be back there for next year’s festival. Thank you all, you’re brilliant.
