This is a fabulous facility for the town giving direct access to the Wye Valley Walk. We walked upriver towards Newbridge and it is beautiful. The only negative is the amount of trees we seem to be loosing to Ash die back and storm damage. On the plus side there have been hundreds of saplings planted. Lovely and picturesque place at day or night, visited Builth many times and always enjoy it. Still as nice as ever and now has a parkrun. If you are in the area on a Saturday, come along (9am every Saturday). The locals are very friendly Great place for a Sunday walk with the dogs, can be very busy especially with other dog walkers but there’s plenty of space along the path. Plenty of dog bins for use and some nice views of the river and the bridge. Free toilets and the very large car park, short walk into town with some good pubs. Stayed the night on the Groe carpark. Powys have a fantastic policy of free parking overnight in all their carparks. We are parked up on the banks of the Wye and just a short walk into the town centre. Beautiful brea breathtaking clean crystal clear running water the people are absolutely it's a great place to go and see on your own or with family. the local local public houses and niche individual restaurants offering good Welsh home cooked food is fabulous and very tasty. Stopped off on way home from hye on wye and took kids to the park. The park is lovely in this area and will be sure to go there again.
