You can drive your car onto this flat sandy and park. This is great for all but especially for those needing wheelchair access. The views are stunning. The cafe serves great coffee, ice creams and simple snacks, as well as kit like wind breaks etc, but we advise you take your own picnic. The tide goes out over a hundred yards to reveal compacted sand under shallow water. There are lifeguards on duty. Brilliant beach. Attractive off the beaten track. The is at the end of country lanes, with a couple of small car parks and a cafe. Public toilets are also available. Sand is quite dark but fairly fine. Great views over the bay and estuary. We called on a Saturday evening so it was fairly quite, but I imagine it gets very busy at times. Lifeguards operate at the for safety. The was amazing. There was a lot of sun and a lot of waves. There were on site, lifeguards ready to save us at a moment notice, and they were heavily armed with sand buggies. There were lots of sand dunes to the back, and a nice river to the back as well. you have to be careful of Weaver fish. And also there’s a lot of sanded jellyfish when the tide is going out - so be look out for those and make sure that you do not stand in one. Otherwise, it’s an amazing beach, but a lot of sun, but also a lot of shade from the occasional clouds. Visited this beautiful 3 times during our midweek stay near Fishguard. It was about a 15-20 mins drive away. When the tide is out it has a vast spance of sand, gentle sloping into the sea and was fairly quiet at around 7pm. Our sausage dogs loved running everywhere! The setting really is beautiful with some stunning sunsets that drop right central to the bay. Parking is free after 7pm. Beautiful wide open spaced natural sandy beach. Great for walking, jogging, dog walks and of course swimming. There is a decent car park for all including disabled. A wonderful often ignored by tourists. So nice and quiet. Great for families. Tide comes in and goes out slowly. Occasionally they're a dolphins that you can see and watch. Good for swimming. There a rock pools if you feel adventurous. A lovely little shop to buy ice cream cafe mawr and toilet facilities basic but sometimes needed. You can drive down onto the and you are allowed to take pets. A wonderful beach. I wish I lived closer. I would be here everyday. One of the best beaches. Very dog friendly What a lovely beach! We visited in Mid December, mid week and at mid day. The tide was out which meant that the was huge. Our dogs thoroughly enjoyed the space, it was particularly quiet on our visit. Parking was easily accessible, as was the itself. Right by the there were multiple cafes, and at least one of them was dog friendly. Stunning views too!
