Nice cafe close to the campsite we stayed at. Staff was friendly and helpful. We had coffee and a very large cake, dog friendly. Our first visit we were impressed with the size of the cafe unfortunately they're still practising safe covid seating so seating inside a bit all over the place. Only one staff member behind the counter, so things were a bit on the slow side, although he was very welcoming and helpful, and whilst being under pressure, he was polite and efficient. Good coffee and friendly service! It's changed hands again and it's not great. Didn't seem to have any cakes place looks bare despite having the same furniture and decor for years. Staff were a little surly. I'll be going to the place on the main road right next to the Glentress entrance in future. It's improved considerably recently. With the current social distance mandates etc... they have a good system setup, food is still fast (and tasting as always) plus behind the masks, you can see the staff are as happy and welcoming as always Always food and coffee. New covid stuff seems sensible. There is a QR code at door to do track and trace on your phone. Etc. Plenty of space. Nice and warm with comfy sofas for a sit down after riding. Food was hot and tasty. I'll be back for coffee and cake but will probably stick to having a sandwich on the trails for a cheap and cheerful lunch. Starting to get a little expensive for the quality , although the cake was nice. Had a partially hardened breakfast roll, must have been on the edge of the bag overnight. Bring back the omelette too! Hot soup after a bike ride all good Little bit steep on prices for what they are. But the service, especially Alyth, was fabulous. This is a space for getting together after a ride and a cuppa. But that's where it stops. The staff, particulalry on the till are often very grumpy. It's Massively overpriced against the quality of the food. I'm disappointed as I LOVE glentress and the trail team, the forestry commission team and the whole set up. I hate leaving negative reviews too Just had a breakfast, friendly staff, good food and very good value for money! They have just reopened under new management and I would highly recommend checking them out! Nice to see its finally open!! staff were lovely, food was tasty, all around a place to grab a bite and relax. max sent air kissed to 2 12 year olds and the dog treats are mwah salad, cake and homemade lemonade in a fabulous setting.
