Wow! Wow! Wow! We did the tree trek at go ape Peebles which has the highest zip wire in Scotland. We were expertly briefed and supervised by the lovely Luka along the way and after tree trekking up high in the glentress forest trees over some crazy obstacles like the Tarzan swing to a scramble rope net 30 foot up we took on the big un... A huge 550meter long zip that's 40m high over the forest at high speed. Not for the feint hearted! But my god what a buzz!!!!! Professional setup, well maintained in a stunning location and most of all VERY safe. This place offers an exhilarating for all ages. We arrived late, so the briefing was rushed, but the instructor’s demonstration cleared everything up, and we were ready to go on our own across the site. To ensure you get on in and complete the track, I recommend arriving slightly early. We were the last session, so we got some extra because no one was going on after us. Make sure to have fun and attempt everything – you won’t fall, so face your fears! There are toilets located onsite, and a water station is placed between each challenge site. Did I mention it’s Scotland’s tallest zip line? Amber really made our day with her kindness and support. We had a hesitant teenager who needed a bit of extra help, and Amber was happy to lend a hand, nothing was too much trouble for her. The place offers fantastic treetop views and walks for anyone who prefers to explore on their own. Plus, they even have a dog! The friendliest pooch you could hope to meet, which made the visit even better. Such a fab experience- would definitely recommend. Caitlin was great! This was the best Go Ape EVER! We came to Glentress Forest and stayed at one of the Forest Holiday cabins for my moms 60th. We decided to try Go Ape for the first and the entire was super lovely. Despite being late the was super and they had the cutest dog in the hut. It was the perfect ice breaker when she cheekily escaped lol After getting suited and booted our instructor Chris made sure to teach us how to use our harness properly. Safety was their number one priority which we really appreciated. I have to say the view from Glentress Forest tree tops is nothing short of stunning. I love how they positioned each of their stations going further up the mountain after every completed run. Every completed section ends with a zipline which gets longer, higher and more fun (in my case absolutely terrifying) each time. Chris always made sure that we are safe. I don‘t know how I managed thid course as my body was ready to give up after the second station but all instructors were super encouraging. I have a host of health problems such as lipoedema all over my body, hypermobile EDS which causes my joints to dislocate when I exercise, etc. but I really wanted to do something like Go Ape before it all gets worse. I felt my shoulder joints and pelvic bone subluxating especially when I attempted the tarzan swing meaning I had to compensate with my muscles. I died, gone to heaven, sent back straight to hell and came back to life trying to battle that obstacle BUT Chris and his team members were super supportive and encouraging giving me the best tips as well as offering to help. I was so close to giving up when I saw that I could avoid the tarzan swing in the next course. In that moment I am certain I heard angels singing hallelujah 🥹 Really proud of myself that I managed to complete the entire course and I am super grateful for Chris and the other instructors making it so fun for my mother and me. We cannot thank you enough…although my physio therapist was far from amused after seeing the damage I caused my joints, but ah well it was totally worth it 🤭 Really good staff. They made sure everyone knew what they was doing and everything was easy laid out to follow the trial. All was and helpful site, great adventure, hard work and quite nerve wracking at times! But definately worth it My children really enjoyed this activity. The instructors were really helpful and kept a close eye on them at all times. All the were and a special thank you to Amber who was incredibly patient.( we came on Sunday with Ben, Isobel, Flora and Kitty) Visited GoApe with my partner and 3 kids (only my partner, 15 year old and 10 year old participated!) for the Treetop Challenge. It was the most amazing day. The are exceptional - friendly, attentive, polite and extremely knowledgable. The venue is perfect and the treetop challenge is ran very well and instructors on hand to help throughout. Special mention to Chris - Chris was first class. He was with the kids, patient, warm, and very professional. A real asset to GoApe. Fantastic start to finish. Very welcoming and knowledgeable (big shout out to Luca!) who give clear and simple instructions before getting on our way and they are around if you ever need them. Would love an extra Tarzan swing on the course but the zip line experiences are amazing. I took my 11 year old daughter and her friend for their first to GoApe at Glentress. It's always been a very impressive course and of course has the massive zip line! A day out was had by the three of us. were and informative as always. Thoroughly enjoyable day out and I can't recommend it enough. We had a afternoon. We had all done Go Ape before but a while ago and so needed our briefing! Amber was at explaining everything to us and only allowed us on the course once she was sure we were confident . A fun course, nicely challenging and we were lucky not to have others in front of us so could very much go at our own pace. Thank you This was a birthday for my 12yr old nephew and it did not disappoint! We had a few very terrified adults in our group and the were amazing! Big shout out to Molly and Claire! I'm not sure if we could've finished with you 2! So much fun and giggles and the sights were amazing, it's definitely worth pushing through to get to the last zip line! I will 100% be doing this again in the future! I've participated in the Treetop Challenge twice in 2 months. I enjoyed it the first so much I knew I had to come back with my family when they visited. The are incredibly helpful and patient throughout the challenge.
