The coffee shop was closed. I’ve not liked the new one much since it replaced the independent coffee shop some ten years or so ago, but it was closed during the school holidays! Any way, the were great and I liked the addition of the taster trails. Could do with a bigger better play park for young’uns. Great area for MTB , plenty of runs.... I rode black first day but 2rd day rode reds and had more fun..... I hired a fab Specialized Levo 4 S5 Esme-MTB from Alpine Bikes. Excellent bike and excellent service. Pretty good value but the battery allowed a ride over Innerleithen and then back to Glentress - what an awesome day! Amazing trail centre with epic climbs and challenging descents. A huge variety of to explore that will keep you coming back for years to come. One of the best trail centres in the UK. Glentress is such a nice place for all, and has varied paths to suit everyone's physical abilities. It's also dog friendly, but be wary that some sections pass close to a field filled with sheep. The paths are well maintained, and easy to follow, and they have toilet facilities (which were spotless) and a cafe on site too. The staff I have met seem really friendly and helpful as well. Arrived fairly early mid week so the car park wasn't to busy. All where running good. The top cafe was doing better food compared to the bottom main one. My only 2gripes would be better signage for the as only found spooky wood, superg and magic mushroom by chance. Other £6 for all day parking with the amount of foot fall u get surely £3 would be better. 🌲✨ What an incredible day exploring Glentress Forest! ✨🌲 Today we embarked on a 4-hour hike through the enchanting Glentress Forest, surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of nature.
