One of the Best Places To Visits in Hipsburn Frequently mentioned in reviews: Top-rated.online cuts through the clutter, highlighting only the reviews that are most helpful, earn the most likes, or come from the most active contributors. Family-owned lovely deli, hidden gem in this elegant coastal village. side is excellent, competing with any good speciality place from London. Ambiance is lovely and has a personal touch as the is run by a family. Deli products are carefully selected and are great. They are a bit pricey but that’s totally expected and accepted for a quality-shop like this in such a holiday location. Couldn’t recommend them enough! Food excellent. lovely. That's it's saving grace really. The is attractive and always queues so it's popular. Service however is not my idea of what I expect. There's an air of unwelcomeness, aloof, snobby, unfriendly, being a nuisance vibe. First time I have been in. Blonde lady behind the counter eating from a bowl. Gentleman doing coffees was a bit friendlier (a smidge) I wasn't offended, I just think it's the way they are. I have a and I'm enthusiastic with customers, I am possibly comparing because I feel it's important to be friendly in shops because customers remember. Anyway, the food and are amazing so I will likely go back and overlook the service. I don't like giving bad reviews but maybe they do need to look at their attitudes in the economic climate and people don't have to eat out, and if people are cutting back on spending on luxuries, this could be it. If you like you must try Scott's when in Alnmouth! It's a lovely place that blends cozy cafe, artisan bakery, and all under one roof. The is great for picking up special bits—artisan cheeses, cured meats, sourdough bread, and some lovely chutneys and jams. There’s also a small but well-chosen range of wines, craft beers, and pantry items if you're stocking up for a picnic or want a nice foodie gift. The alone is excellent! Sourced from Holy Island, which gives it a bit of soul. It's consistently well made, and perfect to take down to the beach! We made sure to grab coffee, cookies and bacon sandwiches from here every morning, it was lush! Amazing coffee, we sat in the wine bit at the back of the to drink ours and people watched as locals popped in to buy their lunch bits. Very friendly service, knowledgeable staff happy to help or happy to leave you to it. A wide range of well sourced products too, some British brands and European ones too. Quaint place with a great selection of produce in the and on the counter. We enjoyed take out coffee, sourdough and pastel de nata. Would highly recommend visiting. If you are in Northumberland this is a hidden gem. Recently I discovered Scott’s of Alnmouth while on a photoshoot. Beautiful white exterior draped in magical red flowers. Opening up into the most beautiful deli, yummy creations and coffees like velvet. Also the dog I fell in love with! Gave the best cuddles. If you looking for delicious treats, glass wear, coffees and great customer service. This is a must with stunning architectural features. Make this a must for a visit and the beaches. I will be telling all of my family about this in the USA & Aus. I was very much looking forward to visiting Scotts of Alnmouth but my expectations were quickly shattered by one of the rudest cafe owners I have ever met. I politely asked if they did bacon sandwiches and he rudely suggested I go outside and read the menu. I did this begrudgingly and ordered 2 bacon sandwiches. He then asked what sort of bacon sandwich did I want ? There was only 1 type on the menu so not sure why he asked me this. After 10 mins the bacon sandwiches arrived - we also ordered 2 coffees and the milk was off. I will not be returning to Fawlty Towers. Lovely store with lots of gorgeous produce. Bought a couple of coffees and a loaf but couldn’t justify buying anything else as the staff were rude, uninterested and unwelcoming. Shame. We love to support small businesses and adore delis like this but are not willing to spend when the staff don’t seem to enjoy having people in their store or don’t want to share in the pleasure of being foodies.
