Came across this little cafè on route to Northumberland zoo. Only 4 tables in the downstairs area, clean, smart decor & fabulous food. I have to say the scrambled eggs on gluten free bread is one of the BEST I've ever eaten. The g/f bread was one of the tastiest & freshest I've ever had. A real gem in the countryside Could this be the perfect countryside eatery? Numerous yummy options for our party inc a vegetarian. We had spinach, feta and red pepper quiche, Thai sweet potato and red pepper soup (with large cheese scone), and halloumi and red pepper melt. Plus coffees. And a large mince pie 🎄🥰 We also bought some delightful greetings cards by a local artist, a locally produced chilli jam, and bought two large slices of steak and ale pie for dinner. And a radio times. We will most definitely be back! Came here few weeks ago as a family for my nanas birthday. Initial service from 1 women was slightly rude, seemed she was having a bad day. She got warmer as the went on though. Afternoon tea came quick and was lovely. The soup and bread was really nice to. Overall I would go back I left a review for one of their other shops recently that wasn't terribly good but I did say it wouldn't put me off visiting their other sites. So glad we did. This is a cafe with a feel to it! There are tables on the ground floor but there is also an upstairs and a few seats outside looking out at the gorgeous bridge. We were met by a really lady as we entered (so sorry we didn't get your name - but I'll describe you as a lady not as one of the girls🤷🏻‍♀️). It was late-ish on a Sunday but she was still so welcoming. They still had an amazing amount of goodies and cakes on offer. Service was very quick, coffee was great, the slice of white chocolate and orange cake was massive and the blueberry and coconut slice was delicious! Came to less than £16. So, Running Fox, you have redeemed yourself!! I think the difference between this visit and the Long haughton cafe is definitely their - and the parking - and the local area. Northumbrian breakfast! Great start to the day. cafe style atmosphere. in a picturesque setting in Felton just off the A1. Tempting display of cakes and pies to take home or eat in house too. I admit....I succumbed 😂 We had tea and it was excellent. The portions are huge and the minced beef pie I had was the best I have ever had! If you are able to make it to one of their locations you will not be disappointed. The quality is of an extremely high standard and the are and helpful. I will be going again the next I am in the area. Huge and really tasty sandwiches, and a beautiful, scenic Northumberland Villiage. Wonderful. A quick stop on the way back to London. Very staff, cafe and great coffee and baked goods. I had a double espresso ad a slice of their Dubai pistachio tart, which was very good. If we had been staying a. It closer I would definitely be going their for breakfast or brunch. Great service. Massive portions and stunning homemade cakes. We stopped for drinks and cake. Food and drinks were good but the only seating withdogs was outside. This in itself wouldn't have been an issue other than the wasps. To be fair the did warn us about the wasps and had placed wasp traps on the tables. The chocolate cake was good and the fruit scone was reasonable. Came for tea which was lovely, huge portions and lots of sweet/savory options. Quick service and staff, will be back! If you are looking for a proper English breakfast almost directly off the ferry from Amsterdam, or just off the A1 heading N or S… look no further than this hidden little gem. Disappointed, a choice of 1 sandwich, quiche or pie, cheese scone or fruit, choice of 1 cake. They got our order wrong sent it back, they then brought back wrong quiche, didn't bother asking to change it for second time. I ordered chicken and avocado expecting fresh avocado but it was more like guacamole. TBH not what I expected at all ! Not worth £51 Incredible food, great service and a wonderful location. You are best booking a table as this little gem gets booked up quickly. Absolutely delicious tea, and generous portion sizes. very friendly. First visiting here and will definitely be coming back! Popped in for lunch, server was and polite, very patient with my parents lol. food, price suitable for the quality. Too busy to sit unfortunately but will try to call in advance next time! Disappointing experience this time. Have visited the Felton shop a few times over the years and not ever had anything to complain about. Visited with a friend for tea. The lady looking after the tables upstairs wasn't as attentive as I have experienced in the past. I was given a for tea for two people as a gift. Tried to redeem the when sat upstairs and was told to redeem after we finished the tea at the till. So we finished our lunch. The food was really good as usual hence the 3 stars. Went downstairs and had to join a queue of people buying takeout stuff from the shop, which I wasn't particularly happy about given I was a customer from 12.30pm (table was booked for then) and at 2pm on leaving expected to join a queue to hand my in, stood in the queue for well over 5 mins. The lady serving upstairs was the one to then take my from me and process it and tell me I owed £4.50. I asked what for and she said the tea I had was for x amount and the tea has increased in price since the person bought the for you so you need to pay the differende. To me my actually stated tea for two (it had no value on in) and that is what they should honoured at no extra cost to me. Disappointed with this visit and don't think I'll be going back again! Absolutely amazing! the ladies serving us were so nice and made sure we were always topped up on tea 😉 Small detail but the music was in the background and we could still hear each other talk. My parents loved it and would definitely come back again. 5 stars across the board ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We used our gift today and ordered 2 teas to takeaway. They were handed to us in a box and were really well presented. We chose the contents and, I have to report, they were absolutely delicious. We would not hesitate to do this again and would highly recommend . Cosy and welcoming. range of food. Large portions. Great quality. Free on road parking.
