Very staff. Had scampi for dinner with chips and mushy peas. Was really nice. Would definitely come back. Lovely pub that we always stop for lunch at when we are visiting the area. Everything we have had has always been fantastic and the are always very friendly The lasagne and vegetable lasagne were extremely What a wonderful village pub. Could not fault anything, if I was looking to do so. Staff, so friendly, food top notch. The massive Yorkshire pudding with pulled beef and mash and veg in it. Lovely pub with great service and food. Fishcakes were really nice and fresh, great smashed burger! Made to feel really welcome 🤗 Food was amazing I had steak and hubby had pie would recommend go eat they and bloke behind bar was and on the ball Had an overnight stop here last Friday whilst walking the Northumberland coast path. The landlord was welcoming and friendly, the room was spotless and comfortable, and as we decided to eat in the pub that evening we sampled both the vegan and non vegan menus. Food was and well priced for what it was. Will definitely return next time we're in The area Fantastic carvery Friendly staff Great service Lovely jacket potato and salad Dog too Went twice as food was so We’ve been a couple of times now and it’s always such a great experience. The guy behind the bar is incredibly and welcoming. But what really blew us away this time was the food. We only had the cheese scones and the cheese & bacon scones, but oh my god – they were absolutely outstanding. Fresh, warm, packed with flavour, and genuinely some of the best we’ve ever tasted. The hermitage Inn was an amazing pub!! The food was delicious! They also had homemade chips that were amazing!!! The atmosphere was amazing with the lights and the TV on and everyone laughing and talking and the service wow! The workers WERE the atmosphere! They were so and funny to talk to! Me and my family had such a time! DEFINITELY recommend 💗 Stopped here for lunch on a family holiday. Nice wee pub serving simple but food. Will be sure to come back when we are next in the area. After visiting Warkworth Castle, there’s not muck to see or do in Warkworth and after walking down the main street, I had given up and was about to head home when I found this pub with a sign in the window saying they welcome “muddy paws”. So on I went with my little doggy Taylor Swift the Westie who sat at my feet as I waited for my scampi and chips. It did take quite a while and I was just about to ask had they forgotten about me when the food arrived and it was hearty and delicious. Tis a rare jewel, a food establishment that accepts doggies. I visited the Hermitage Inn recently and unfortunately left quite disappointed. I ordered the steak and poached eggs on sourdough bread. The menu described the steak as rare, but what I received was very overcooked and had a metallic, frozen-like taste. The eggs were swimming in water, which turned the sourdough into a mushy mess rather than toast, making it pretty much inedible. It’s a real shame, because the were polite and attentive, and the sticky toffee pudding was delicious. With some attention to the quality and preparation of the mains, this could have been a much better experience. Food is always every time we visit. So reasonably priced and the are always lovely with a warm welcome. Sunday carverys are absolutely delicious. Even the puppy enjoyed himself getting spoiled off the members. We came for lunch while on holiday in Warkworth. Very staff, choice of food and reasonable prices. Busy Thursday evening-new bar under training- manager was doing an outstanding job attending to customers, juggling tables, coaching new employee and serving all with a great attitude and a smile! We enjoyed lovely homemade steak and ale pies with our drinks and wholeheartedly recommend the Hermitage for locals and visitors alike.
