Good course, some interesting and challenging holes. Quite hilly, I was walking and was tired by the end of the round, so maybe a cart next time. Not always clear where you are going, as there's a lot of blind tee shots and lots of target posts, so make sure you check the map. I enjoyed the round, even though it rained for the last 9 holes, and I'd happily play there again. We stayed last 2nd of August for one night, my wife and I and my 10 year old, we stayed in the family number 22 and was well really impressed with the room! We went to the golf club and the meal was lovely and the staff were amazing. We then went to the leisure complex for the evening and was once again delighted with the service and staff x Whilst the location is good for Launceston and the A30, that is the only redeeming feature. I don’t play golf so cannot comment on the course. But the morning Reception team didn’t greet us as we entered and the security of the rooms contained in the outer buildings was nonexistent. The Breakfast team, which consisted of 2 ladies both days were kept busy without assistance from one of the 2 Reception staff, so were on the back foot with clearing tables, replenishing the breakfast offering, topping up the coffee machine. On the second morning, the Pastries weren’t topped up even though there were fewer guests. I did inform the Reception that both mattresses in the had collapsed sides due to people sitting on the edge. We stayed here recently… Bad (and the reason for 1 star): We had two nights of terrible sleep. On one some cyclists were staying in the same building as us, they left very very early in the morning and woke us up moving all of their bikes and equipment out of their rooms. Secondly there was an air conditioning unit outside our window and it was very noisy and rattled. Which kept my partner up all night. Thirdly the air conditioning in the would pour out water on to the carpet after a short time running. We brought this to the attention of the receptionist who said they’d get back to us, she never did. The second was no different the air conditioning leaked again and the outside unit rattled away all keeping my partner up again. I brought this up before we left and the receptionist merely apologised and said thank you for staying. A couple of days later I decided I still wasn’t happy with this and rang up, explaining the situation and how I wasn’t happy with it. Still nothing. I’m leaving this 1 star review as a warning to others, it’s exactly what you expect, for a golf club, it is not worth the price charged for with the food you will buy and the service you will get. I was very disappointed and will not be recommending or returning. I gave ample opportunity for them to make even a small gesture in apology but nothing was given past a meaningless apology from a receptionist. The Good: The food is very average, but about what you should expect for a golf club, so no offence taken there. It’s all frozen and defrosted stuff, the burger was a mass produced item which they word to make it sound gourmet, it’s not. The coffee from the machine by the breakfast buffet is rancid. Ask for a coffee from behind the bar and it’s very very good, the breakfast itself was acceptable and the waiting staff were smartly dressed and friendly. The was clean, although dated, and there was plenty of parking.
