This is a lovely pub that retains the more traditional feel. All of the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The bar area was clean and cozy with good beer. Rooms are clean and really comfortable with a good modern bath or shower room. Food is really good, although for the extra supplement there could be a little more cheese on the cheese board. Breakfast was included in the stay and was excellent, good produce. I would definitely stay here again. I’m currently staying here on a work trip and I am delighted and will definitely stay here again when I’m back in the Northallerton area. The service from check-in to evening meal has been exceptional and the food was perfect. The room is clean and spacious, I couldn’t ask for more - thank you. 100% will be staying again. Stopped off for an evening meal. Didnt book and just popped in on the off chance. We were greeted in a lovely friendly manner, and got shown to a table. Food absolutely delicious. My partner had the steak and I went for the salmon dish. Great atmosphere, lovely little find. Stayed for a wedding that was local. Rooms really spacious and bed is super comfy!
