Top class spoons at top of high street. Had the vege breakfast & a bottomless coffee. As usual toilets unreal. Table clean, server very pleasant and a window seat in the sun. Beer garden looked excellent As as many Wetherspoon pubs. It will do everything you would expect from the brand. The pizzas are superb value for money. Mmmm, what is there to say. Not as cheap as I expected This Wetherspoons has a bit of everything, lots of kerb appeal, lovely outside area, friendly ,but best of all a cold cheap pint!!! Parking outside is pay and display .Didn't eat at this one but saw lots of meals coming out of the kitchen that looked and smelled gr8.Would highly recommend if your in the area!!!! Nice wee pub atmosphere. value for money. Staffing is and food is quality. Nice atmosphere too Nice Spoonz with friendly and atmosphere...enjoyed a bit of breakfast on a recent trip to North Yorkshire. Always call if I'm up North Yorks, one of my favourites to visit. A decent venue overall. Bright and modern on one side, where the bar is located, and standard Wetherspoons with carpets on the other. A huge venue, extremely popular and packed out on a Saturday afternoon. Decent food and a quick turnaround. Had the BBQ Chicken Melt, which didn't look great, but tasted good. Would certainly recommend. Always sticky tables, even after wiping. Service can be hit and miss. A smile from the server extremely rare. Food might be considered value, but no modern, healthy options, just low calorie, low protein, which is poor. I appreciate they are working to a budget, but given their sales volume, the menu is due an overhaul. UPDATE: Got a smile from the charming young lady behind the bar today. That’s a first! and other bar furniture still super sticky and they can’t be bothered to clean even when you ask. Time go an environmental health inspection. If it’s like this out front, what’s it like in the back of house? Sticky unwashed bar can harbor a variety of germs, including E. coli and Staphylococcus aureus, which can cause infections. These germs thrive in environments where food and drinks are served, especially if the surfaces are not regularly cleaned. END. Wetherspoons generally a brand, providing a value place for people to meet. This one is average. Needs more cheerful and dynamic leadership, perhaps; or, allow tipping for service? I feel sorry for the because there are not enough. Always loads of half eaten meals left on from earlier. Lack of again. Staff that are working are and doing their best. Previous spoons I've visited are all well staffed. It's a nice Spoons. The drinks a varied and cheap, just as expected. The service was slow but, it was 8pm and slightly busy. The food is below average and although not expensive still not value for money. Our complaint was handled well as they got the order wrong. They did blame us for the error withiut investigation. We declined an offer of free dessert. It would seem that almost everything, apart from steak, is microwaved! Greasy and no care from the kitchen although they are obviously limited. In summary, not a bad venue for drinks, avoid the food unless you desperate. Started out pub crawl down along the high street here on Saturday Afternoon. It didn't start well when my partner who asked for a Pinot and soda water received a Chardonnay bit confused as to how such a simple request can be gotten wrong. Relatively busy, and would have been plenty of seating if the would clear the of food, there must have been around 15 with leftover food which members of continually walked past and ignored, even the that were free from plates had not been sprayed and wiped down so unfortunately as far as cleanliness goes it's one of the worst we've visited. Not quite sure what the manager is getting his to do but hey ho. I've been here a couple of times, and food is always great. are cleaned regularly, and the wait times are never too long unless packed. The outdoor area is lovely, and the heaters are a nice touch. 9/10 would recommend Absolutely disgraceful service, attitude, and regard for injured persons. Disgusting treatment of elderley persons. Currently disputing an inapporpriate piece of equipment in a disabled area, causing injury to persons, wrongly handling a health and safety problem, and being generally dismissive when someone is pouring blood infront of them. Falsely accusing elderly, vulnerable people of 'aggravating' 'threatening' 'violent' behavior - from a 78 YEAR OLD MAN!!! Not once asked if OK and actually stated 'you can't have done that on there'!! Absolutely disgusted and will be taking this to court. The report recieved so far has fully falsified information, and admits to not retaining any CCTV despite originally claiming to have it. Likely to have been reviewed and realised it suppirts our case then deleted. Typical wetherspoons sticky and all. But you can't go wrong with old spoons. I've eaten in here on numerous occasions and have always had lovely food (hallumi wrap is delicious) and a service. The have always been polite and cheerful. They also keep the very clean and ready for next customers. Probably the best Weatherspoon around. I would also like to add the toilets are also immaculate. Great overall place for a quick, cost-effective lunch. pub. beers and excellent prices. Nice seating area and booths. Outside seating, suitable for disabled. Food is generally pub grub quality, I like the fish and chips, chips are OK, the fish is lovely, fresh cooked.
