Friendly and helpful team; did us "packed breakfast" for two early departures. Plenty of choice on the evening menu. Large beer terrace at the rear. Good choice of beers and ciders. Popular with locals, it would appear. Would stay there again. We had a fantastic night at the Wheatsheaf Hotel in Whitchurch. Clean and cozy rooms, and there's a pub/restaurant downstairs. Very convenient place to stay before taking a narrowboat hire out of Whitchurch or Wrenbury. Highly recommended! A hotel/pub, with really friendly and helpful staff. Food and service was excellent. As others have said, getting into the car park is not for the faint-hearted, but a highly recommended place to stay in a little town Fabulous friendly pub, really nice owners, It was spotless everywhere. Beautiful food, great bar staff, nice lady served the hot and breakfast, great quality linen on the very comfortable bed. I stayed last month and also last year. Great location too. Rooms were well equipped and comfy, perfect location for our visit to Whitchurch. Be warned though if you need car parking, their car park is very tight and fits about 5 cars, but once you're in, you'll probably be blocked in as it's a narrow exit. We had to park round the corner, but better this than have to rely on other guests movements to be able to use our car. Breakfast was nice, minimal non cooked options (yoghurt, cornflakes or weetabix). Full English was good. No complaints with our stay. Went here this evening for meal with friends and we were all impressed ! The food was lovely, the puddings were lush and the staff were really friendly and attentive, great customer service x The Sunday dinner here was lovely!
