Always very nice food and cakes, location and friendly staff. Would absolutely recommend you give it a try. Absolutely amazing Thai tasting menu night, highly recommended to go when they next do one of these special nights Arrived early for around 3 weeks ago and I was given a polite offer to sit down inside and wait until they opened. It was worth the wait. The small gluten free was amazing and polite throughout. Thanks to everyone. The cafe is situated close to the Caergwrle railway station, and right by the river Alyn, with its own small car park. Pros. Nice staff, location, atmosphere, coffee, and scrambled egg on toast. Cons. is very poor, and small, rest of menu limited, cakes etc. but very expensive for what you get. Fresh food Friendly staff The cakes are out of this world. Absolutely lovely little place! So glad we found it, food was divine and the service was excellent! Thank you for taking us at such short notice! Our new favourite place. Right by the river Alyn. after a walk. We had a coconut hot chocolate, coconut iced latte, two slices of the heavenly strawberry cake, bang bang Korean chicken, soup and a toastie. Daughter ate the cake before I could take a photo! Lovely setting, very friendly and attentive staff. Can’t wait to come again and sit on the terrace over looking the river. Really nice cafe and bakery, tucked away along a stream in a lovely location. We visited for after completing the ‘Park in the Past’ Parkrun and would definitely recommend! The food itself is but the service is lacking. I waited a long time to be seated or even get a menu. They didn’t acknowledge me at all to be honest. Lovely setting, food and and the best carrot and pineapple cake I’ve ever tasted. I know cake and coffee and this place is cake and coffee. A lot of love clearly goes into this gem or a place, it shows in the food, service and settings. I look forward to visiting again and hopefully one day enjoying the pop up menu. Very fairly priced considering the love and attention that goes into every bite. Visited here for afternoon tea this afternoon. All I can say is wow, the food was delicious and all home made and included 2 drinks which was an added bonus. The price didn't justify the amount of food/drink you were given. Will 100% be returning and recommending the afternoon tea Lovely food, service in a lovely setting Loved going here lovely and food great. Accommodating for cyclists. Visited Honey's this morning for breakfast, after having heard things. I wanted something other than a full English, that was filling and healthier, but still tasty, so I ordered the scrambled and on sourdough. The eggs: cooked perfectly! They were soft and light, fluffy and flavourful, and plenty of them (x4 I think, a generous amount anyway). Not to sound like I'm some sort of expert egg-chef, but I think these were cooked by 'folding' them around the pan, rather than just 'stirring' them... this could well be the key because mmmm😋 (it really did make a positive difference in taste/ texture)!! The avocado: I won't lie; I'm not a huge lover of avocado, but only discovered recently that I do like it... can't go wrong with an avocado, right? WRONG🤣! I don't know whether it was mixed with something, maybe a hiiint of lemon... or magic? No idea, but YUM! The sourdough: never been a lover of as it's too firm/ crispy and always hurts your mouth if you so much as look at it the wrong way🤣 but ohhh myyyy! It was so light, crispy/ crunchy and full of flavour! It was a 'doorstop' for sure! Can see why it won an award!! Altogether?: SUPER fresh (you could tell, and that made a big difference) 5, very value for money! Recommendation: Go visit!Visited Honey's this morning for breakfast, after having heard things. Recommendation: very much worth visiting!👏🏻 Popped in while waiting for dual controls to be fitted to car. This place was a delight ! Table servic was quick, food was seriously and there seemed a relaxed Happy feel to the place ! I intend to go back and relax there again ! A hidden gem of a place tucked away right next to the river in Caergwrle. The place has a lovely atmosphere and the food is great. Second review. First one was years ago and was 5/5. Arrived early. Had to wait 25 minutes for ordering with 2 kids. Then when I ordered was told the was off... Didn't bother ordering lunch for myself I was too miffed. Poor service and won't be back for a while. It's still a really place though generally. Lovely little place, nice people. First visit to this cafe and was hoping for a decent size portion for the prices. However the food portion was so small and I left feeling hungry still. To make matters worse they had a minimum payment of £12 on the card machine, how ridiculous! They ended up rounding up my order to £12 for me to be able to pay, so they made extra money out of me for nothing. Won’t be returning or encouraging others to try it, but to avoid it. went here as i’m coeliac and had been recommended. most of the menu is toasties, sandwiches and things on toast wich is fine so i had on toast. after eating it i was asked how coeliac i am and informed that they have a shared toaster but its “cleaned thoroughly” wich can not be true so not safe for coeliacs Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
