Willeymoor Lock Tavern

Whitchurch, United Kingdom Pub

One of the Best Places To Visits in No Man's Heath Top-rated.online cuts through the clutter, highlighting only the reviews that are most helpful, earn the most likes, or come from the most active contributors. Possibly the most interesting pub I have seen in a long time. I don't drink but the food was excellent. I met the original lady who bought the bar as a very small cottage 40 plus years ago and I think her daughter and husband run it now. Thousands of Toby jugs and teapots adorn the walls and even the ceiling. Great outside space to relax and watch the boats as they pass through the locks. Revisited this quaint and charming place on my recent boating holiday. Fabulous food, very good portion sizes. Staff are very welcoming. Good value for money. We were a family of 6 and all meals arrived within seconds of each other. We loved it so much we we had dinner there again on the way back and took our grandchildren as well. Kids loved it. They accommodated a party of 8 easily . Well worth a visit A lovely little quaint pub right alongside the locks. On a beautiful sunny day watching the barges go through is both beautiful, mind blowing how quick it works and just well I found it relaxing. Everyone so polite, helpful and friendly so makes it a worthy visit. We didn't eat here , we came to see what it was like as I had been over 15 years ago. What a beautiful wee pub, sat on the side. Really friendly staff, excellent ales and beers. Didn't eat but the food looked and smelled amazing. Absolutely gorgeous place in summer with loads of outside seating. Oldie worldly pub, amazing collection of teapots. Food very good pub grub. Friendly attentive welcoming atmosphere and staff. Being in the same family for over 40 years. Well worth a visit . Mooring available close to the tavern. A great spot on the canal, dog friendly with a good choice of drinks and food at fair prices. Visited on a boating holiday, moored almost outside. Great pub, friendly, reasonably priced drinks and canalside views. Only had a drink so can't comment on the food but looked nice. Typical pub food (fairly reasonable), decent beer. Staff are polite and friendly. The pub sits next to the canal, and has a collection of unusual teapots on display. This is an old building with lots of character, so watch out for the low ceilings.
