Decent pub with a solid Sunday roast. We arrived at 12:30 on a Sunday and couldn’t place an order until after 1pm, then waited another half hour for the food to arrive. It felt like the kitchen wasn’t running very efficiently, which took the edge off the experience. The staff were friendly and accommodating, though the service was on the slow side. The roast itself was good and ticked the main boxes. Nothing to complain about, but nothing that made it particularly memorable either. Lovely little place that prepares the meals, fresh on order. Perfect combo. But the real showstopper? That GORGEOUS of the world-famous aqueduct. It’s like eating lunch with a postcard in front of you. Honestly, it’s STELLAR. Best I’ve ever had for sure, my fiancé doesn’t really like fish and he loved this one when trying mine. Tucked away in a picturesque hillside setting, this pub offers a stunning overlooking the aqueduct, making it a perfect spot to unwind. The outdoor decking area is a highlight, providing an ideal vantage point to take in the beautiful surroundings. While we didn’t sample the food, the overall ambiance and upkeep of the pub were impressive. The facilities, particularly the clean and well-maintained toilets, were a notable plus. Service was both prompt and welcoming, and the pub boasts an excellent selection of beers. I opted for a refreshing Moretti this time. If you find yourself in the area, it's well worth stopping by for a pint or two to enjoy the atmosphere. Great pub, fantastic views, great beers and great staff. It is well worth the short but steep walk from the canal up to the Aqueduct Inn. It was quiet when we arrived just after 12:00 and we were greeted and seated immediately with an amazing view! There are different rooms as well as a wonderful balcony outside. There were 3 great guest ales. A really extensive menu and wonderful, friendly service. We had sea bass fillet which looked and tasted wonderfull it I had 2 huge lamb chops. Cooked pink with a potatoes and garlic bake. This was just gorgeous. An excellent end to our Aquaduct walk. A good selection of delicious ales are provided. We enjoyed the sticky toffee pudding and apple crumble for pudding. The exterior of the building is a bit run down but the inside dining experience with a fire and views over the valley was simply stunning. Will be visiting again. Warm and welcoming with hearty pub food. It was a very nice Sunday roast, and the beef was delicious. Apple crumble was nice however I could tell it was reheated due to the film on the top of the custard. Nice overall and beautiful of the area.
